A jiley love story.

76- Set Up.

James's POV:

I quickly ran inside after awhile and started to get ready, trying to find something to wear that was casual but still looks alright. I decided a pair of blue jeans, and a red button up collar shirt with white print like thing on it. I quickly get ready after my shower, and sit and look at a photo of riley and i on my bedside table for awhile. When mum barges through my bedroom door quite literally.

"James what on earth are you doing?" mum asks me.

"Well im looking at photos of Ril-" i begin to speak.

"Well a troupe are waiting for you we need to leave!" mum says.

"Okay Okay calm down." i reply getting up i put my phone into my pocket and my wallet in there aswell before making my way to the car, as mum puts the twins in. We drive quietly to the venue in which we were all meeting for dinner. I see Riley waiting outside by herself, i wonder where everyone else is and why Emily isn't with her. The twins hop out and give Riley a massive hug, Jenni not letting go. I see riley smile but also look sad.

Riley's POV:

I wake up after crying and quickly throw on some "wet look" leggings and a white lace top with some black ankle boots, aswell as the Owl necklace james gave me for christmas.

Em drops me off.

"Arent you coming in?' i ask.

'Nope im going to pick the girls up i will be back soon. " em tells me.

"Alright. See you soon. " i say as i hop out of em's car.

I wait outside as no ones around and eventually i see James's mum pull up in her red car with the twins. They give me a massive hug and i pick Jenni up and spin her around. James looks at me and smiles.

"I've missed you gorgeous girls." i tell them.

"james has something to ask you?" jenni spoke.

I look at James, who speaks up.

"Why dont you ask Ri yourself jen?" james offers.

"Come over and build with us." jenni spoke.

"Sandcastles" jenna adds in.

I laugh and give them another hug.

"If thats okay with your mummy. I will sometime soon." i tell them.

"That is darling." Debra spoke.

"Anyway girls we should be going you'll be late for little gymnastics." debra spoke.

I give them one last hug each as they say "Bye wiley love you."

"love you both aswell." i tell them.

James and i wave to them as Debra drives off, silence fills the air.

James's POV:

After about 15 minutes of sitting out the front of the venue, it begins to go darker. It was summer so it was still bright till 7ish.

"Where is everyone?" i ask.

"Don't know, can you ring someone?" riley pleads.

I take out my phone carefully hiding my screen saver, of Riles and i. And i ring Eldon who doesnt reply, i then ring Michelle and West even Hunter. How i have hunters number i dont know. Riley try's all of the girls.

"Seriously no answer." riley tells me.

"Same on my end." i tell her.

"Maybe we should just go in?'' riley asks.

"Sure.'' i reply quietly. I hold the door open for her as she enters i walk behind her.

"Thanks." she mumbles quietly.

"Table for The Next Step." riley tells the lady behind the counter.

"Table 22." she replys. "Enjoy your meal." she tells us with a smile.

Riley and i eventually find it, it is one single table with 2 seats. Total set up. Riley looks less the pleased and im not far from it either. She hands me a paper.

"You can read it." she tells me.

I open it and read it. Outloud.

'Dear Jiley, work it out please. We need you both for nationals, and you both need one another. Meals on us. We love you, love a troupe xx"

Riley's POV:

I mean the thought isn't even close to being nice, if James and i wanted to work all of this out we would have by now. I am actually so furious.

"I'm going home you ring beth and enjoy this meal." i tell james.

"Riley just sit and eat the meal atleast we can go tomorrow and tell them we tried and it didn't work." James spoke.

"Fine. I'll just take the Pesto Pasta." i reply quietly.

James orders for us then comes and sits down bringing me a Pink Lemonade, it was my favourite drink to drink at outings.

Soon enough we eat and sit in silence. 

"It was nice for you to see the twins." james spoke up.

"Yeah, i've missed them." i tell james.

"They've missed you. I have too." james quietly tells me.

"You miss me?" i ask him.

"Yeah..." james trails off.

I miss him to but its done. We dont really talk that much, but james try's to talk i just dont want to.

James's POV:

Keep trying, James. Just keep trying. I think to myself as Riley sits across looking awkward.

"So, how's Alexa?" i ask riley.

"Good, her and Lucas just got engaged actually." Riley speaks with a smile.

"Thats exciting, Lucas also told me they moved in together?" i ask.

"Yeah they did." Riley smiles again.

"Planning on visiting them?" i ask.

"Hopefully soon." riley speaks quiet.

"Just alot going on, and cant really just get up and leave A troupe can i?" riley asks.

"Yeah guess not." i reply quietly.

The rest of the evening was silent, really silent. I walk riley to her door and she goes to give me a hug but quickly pulls away

"Thanks." she mumbles.

"Don't even worry about it." i reply with a fake smile.

I wanted to hug her more then she probably didnt want  to hug me. I'll see her tomorrow, i guess..
