Chapter 81- Challenge/Heartbreak.

Riley's POV:
I wake up from literally the worst sleep, i spent all night up and down tossing and turning unable to sleep properly. I throw on my team tracksuit jumper as i head down stairs. Mum was sorting through papers alot of them. Dad has gone away for Buisness.

"Morning sweetie." mum greets me.
"Morning mum." i reply quietly.
"Off to dance already darling?" mum asks me.
"Yeah is em around?" i ask.
"Breakfast with some boy." mum tells me.
I laugh probably Hunter.
"Hunter?" i ask.
"Thats him. Can't keep up with her." mum joked.
"Something like that." i say quietly.
I wish i could be having breakfast with James.
"What are you doing anyway?" i ask mum.
"Going through some papers nothing important." mum shrugged.
"Alright well im off, bye mum.'' i say.

James's POV:
I am at the studio, practicing. Riley should be here any minute, soon enough she walks in, her hair wasn't as neat as usual and she looked really tired, still beautiful though.

" Good Morning." i say.
"How long till Miss Kate comes to watch?" riley asks.
I was a little thrown back by her tone, i mean it is her im "dissappointed/angry at you" tone, but it hurt.
"Oh good morning to you to james." i say sarcastically.
"Not in the mood for you." Riley tells me.
"Sorry wont say good morning next time." i tell her, dissapointed.
"I didn't mean it like tha-" riley began to speak.
"15 minutes." i tell her interupting her.

She cant have it both ways, either shes angry or shes not, she makes an effort or she doesn't, mix emotions isn't working for me. We run through our duet again and again and again when Miss Kate watches, it goes badly which is nothing unusual these days.

Riley's POV:
James lets go of my hands and i fall to the ground, Miss kate stops the music.

"I've had enough." miss kate firmly spoke.
"I've had enough of falling to the ground." i speak up.
"Can't blame me. Maybe you should hold onto my hands tigther and trust me." James spoke.
Sadly, he was right. I just dont have it in me though.
"It isn't happening." i tell him.
"Alright, enough, i hate to do this as you are our best bet at winning but not like this, so Thalia and Giselle are going to challenge you. You have till this afternoon to work it out." kate spoke.
I am furious.
"How can the prepare a duet in such short notice?" i scream.
"I have to do whats right, i have given you two plenty of chances." miss kate spoke more softly.
"They didnt even audition to begin with!'' James yelled.
"This is un-fair." i yell back.
"Well you will prove that tonight then wont you. Good luck." miss kate tells us before leaving.

James's POV:
I am in shock, why would Tahlia and Giselle suddenly want OUR duet, mine and Riles not Tahlia and Giselle. Riley looks sad, and angry. I feel about the same. 7hrs is all we have left of getting it down pack, and riley to trust me. All of which is impossible.

"Where do we go from here?" riley spoke up.
"Not gonna lie Riley, you have to trust me if you want us to keep this duet." i speak softly.
"Thing is i can't trust you not now and 7 hours isn't going to change that." riley spoke.
"So we dont want the duet?" i ask riley. Her phone rings and she answers it, i hear all of it.

"Mum im at duet what do you want?" riley spoke.
"Papers riley i was going through them." her mum spoke frantic.
"I dont know mum.'' riley mumbles.
"I'll come home and help you look, what one do you need?" riley asks.
"Its in a blue folder, i need it for my meeting tonight." her mum spoke..
"Alright i'll get Em to drop it off soon." Riley tells her mum before hanging up.

"Guessing you have to go?" i ask Riley.
"Yeah, will see you later." riley tells me.
"Are we gonna rehearse?" i ask her.
"Yeah later." she tells me.
"Okay." i mumble.

Riley's POV:
I go home and go through the papers, i find the blue one which em will drop of to mum at work, but i come across one that says
" D I V O R C E. "
I instantly know what it means and i feel sad, i begin to cry, i shove it in my bag and head back to the studio. I try not to think about it but apart of me thinks it all makes sense, i had to fight to keep my family together and i had to fight to keep my national duet with James, while he's off playing cute couples with Beth. None of which are going to be easy..
