A jiley love story.

Chapter 40- i'll always protect you.

James's POV: 

With the last count i threw riley in with me, she instantly tried to swim away from me even though i grabbed her waist and pulled her close to me. She didnt say a thing, she just tried to swim away.

"oh come on riles, you were laughing before." i say still grabbing onto her waist.

She stays silent, so i know of a way to make her talk to me. I kiss her. She kisses back wrapping her arms around my neck.

"oh i thought you were mad at me?" i muck around with the sitatuion just a little. it was funny and riley knew it. 

"it's hard to be mad at someone who has there arms wrapped around me in the water, and is kissing me jay." riley said 

Last time i check riles you were the one that has your torso wrapped around my body. 

"then why is your legs wrapped around my waist then huh?" i say back still playing.

She instantly looks embarrassed not realising, i guess, i laugh.

"uh because i dont want to drown!" riley states.

im not sure if shes serious? or not?

"or get eaten by giant fish." i stay laughing 

She clings on to me even more at this point in time, shes so scared.

"big giant killer fish." i state my point once again.

By this point she's super scared, i wanna stop but its kinda funny.

"you scared hey riles?" i laugh

"get me out of this water right now." she states still clinging on to my shirtless body.

"i'll protect you dont you worry babe." i say playfully.

i instantly knew she would be even more annoyed, she hates being called babe. 

"dont call me babe, if i wasnt scared for my life i would swim off right about now." she states.

Riley's POV:

James and i have been in this killer fish ridden water for probably a good 30 minutes right about now, im so mad at him but at the same time its so hard to be when he's beautiful face is so close to mine and i can feel him breathing, my legs are still wrapped around his waist and my arms are still wrapped around his shirtless body. 

"im so mad at you." i state

"then go swim by yourself beautiful.' he states laughing

"just remember killer fish." he says again

i roll my eyes and i look to the water not seeing any killer fish or any fish for that matter.

"you're joking with me arent you?" i finally realise.

"obviously theres no killer fish, but if there was i would protect you." he states sweetly.

MY HEART IS MELTING HE IS SO SWEET.

"well thats a tad embarrassing." i say loosing my grip.

"yeah you should have seen your face, riles!" he says splashing water at me.

i roll my eyes "typical james wanting to scare me!" i say splashing him back.

"it worked though, you wouldnt even let go!" he states 

Before i could even reply he pushes me under the water, i push him under in return and we swim back towards eachother finally getting to kiss, softly and gently. 

'i"ll always protect you." he states sweetly before kissing me once again.
