Chapter 21- talks. <3!

James POV;

As Riley and I walk hand in hand to Inside her house we see her mum in the kitchen and Emily on the phone to who I believe was Steph, Alexa was also on the phone saying she loved someone and missed them Riley then asks her mum if we can go up to her room for a little bit before lunch. Riley's mum says that fine and she will call us when lunch is ready. We are sitting in Riley's room and the doors shut, we just lay next to eachother in silence for awhile I can telling Riley's thinking but I'm not sure about what?

"riles?" I speak up from beside her.

"yeah jay?" she replys

"what are you thinking about?" I reply with a smile.

"Alexa." she replys instantly.

"why Alexa??" I reply slightly confused.

"she just hasn't had the best life, and her boyfriend and her only recently just got back together so can you just pretend to like her please?" she replies mumbling.

It makes sense why Alexa isn't very forthcoming or even that friendly, I sigh.

"please jay." Riley replies moving her hand and locking it with mine.

I pull Riley even closer, and kiss her on the cheek.

"I can do that for you precious, but what do you mean hasn't had the best life??" I reply.

"I don't want to talk about it, but her and her boyfriend just got back together after a couple months apart." riley replys, with no smile just a blank expression.

"whys that?" I ask curious

"he kissed he's ex and then she saw but they worked through it." Riley speaks up softly.

"oh." I reply kind of speechless. why would anyone do that?

Our conversation is stopped when we hear knocks at the door hoping its not Alexa.

Riley's POV;

James and I are just cuddling, and talking, when we hear a knock at my bedroom door, I'm kind of relieved as James and I where pretty deep in conversation however I did want to talk to him about things.

"come in." I speak up

Emily opens the door. "lunch is ready you two." Em replys

"we will be down in just a second." I reply

James is just laying there completely silent.

"did I interrupt something?" Em asks

"no you didn't Em." James replys with a smile.

"okay, see you down there." Em replys

"oh and you guys are cute by the way." Em adds as she leaves my room shutting the door behind her.

I notice I'm still cuddled into James and I feel my cheeks turn red as I get up James lays there.

"jay Christmas is here." I joke.

He doesn't reply.

"James?" I say to him.

"I don't want to get up I just want to lay here with you." James eventually says.

"I know you do and I do too, but lunch is waiting and we don't want Emily catching us a second time now do we?" I reply smilling

"guess not." he reply's as he gets up and heads to my door I feel him stop me from opening the door and he says "wait Riley." I look up at him as he looks up as me and kisses me, I kiss him back, "Merry Christmas my beautiful." James says my face turning bright red I reply "merry Christmas jay." giving him a peck on the lips.

James POV;

We walk hand in hand down to the kitchen table which is decorated really nicely, silver and red placemats and garland on the table as well as more food on a second table, I take a seat next to Riley and across from us sits Alexa and Emily and her mum at the end seat next to Riley. we all eat in silence for awhile when Alexa speaks up, asking me something.

"so James are you a dancer?" I look at her and I feel Riley put her second hand on mine as she eats with one hand and I speak up.

"I sure am, what about you?" I speak up so she can hear.

"I use to dance but not anymore." Alexa replys

"oh." I reply.

"Thank you for coming over James." rileys mum says to me.

"no problem thank you for the invite." I reply happily.

"well we couldn't have Christmas lunch with out my little darlings boy over now could we?" Riley's mum says with a smile on her face.

I look at Riley who's blushing beside me and I smile.

"mum!" Riley calls out.

"what? You always talk about him." her mum says laughing

"I do not talk about him" Riley replys instantly

"that much." Em adds in

"all we hear is James this James that even when you weren't even together" her mum adds smiling.

"you can be quiet now I think we get the point." Riley says embarrassed I know.

"my mum says the same about Riley so it's fine." I laugh

"you guys are so cute." Em adds in

It then goes a little bit silent as we finish eating, Riley barely even touching her food.

We then leave the table and go into the living room where Alexa and Emily decide to put on Home alone, Riley and I lay together on the lounge we always do as Em lays on the other lounge and Alexa sits on the other chair. I play with Riley's hair as she lays next to me with her head placed to my chest.

Riley's POV;

We're laying here watching home alone after lunch, James and I cuddling together. Once the movie ends we notice Alexa is asleep and Em is on her phone scrolling through social media, as she was up to turn the DVD off I ask James to check the time as he grabs my phone from beside him, he speaks up.

"Someone's popular." he reply's jokingly

"whys that?" I reply confused

"3 messages" he replys laughing

"from who?" i ask not caring really

"Daniel, Michelle and Giselle." he replys.

"oh I'll reply later." I say not wanting to type

"we have half an hour till my mum will be here to pick us up." James says

"okay." I reply not wanting to move.
