Chapter 44- how am I going to tell her?

Riley's POV;

James and I are just mucking around making pancakes together when his family comes out to join us from there cabin's, jenni sits on my lap and Jenna sits on her chair beside me, jenni is playing with my hair and she's honestly such a little cutie.

"look James, someone takes after you." I joke.

James laughs he instantly knows what I mean about the hair thing.

"although it isn't annoying when I play with your hair." he says laughing

"i actually am going to have a haircut before I go back to dance." I confess.

"what why your hairs beautiful the way it is?" James looks a little sad.

"just to be different." I say smiling.

James isn't. He really likes running his fingers through my hair, I just want a change, although him running his fingers through my hair isn't a problem.

"whatever." he mumbles.

"Riley can you take me to the lake?" jenni asks.

"sure sweetie, James you coming?" I reply looking at him.

"nope, you go. I have some things to do." James replys before giving me a kiss.

I kiss him back as I get up to go to the lake with Jenni, holding her little hands.

James's POV;

Riley's at the lake with my little sister Jenni, Jassy comes in to mine and Riley's cabin where I am sitting texting the boys, when she sits on a chair and starts talking to me. What does she want?

"you didn't seem to happy back there." she says.

Why does she care?

"yeah so?" I reply grumbling.

"why does it matter if Riley cuts her hair?" Jassy says looking at me.

Truth is it has nothing to do with Riley cutting her hair, I didn't mind, what's bothering me is what I'm keeping from Riley I can't tell Jassy that though can I??

"nothing to do with the hair cut jas" I say looking at my phone still.

"then what is it?" she replys a little confused.

"maybe I should tell her." I say still not making any eye contact.

"you don't talk about it with anyone, you sure you want to talk about it with Riley?" she says looks of confusion flooding her face.

"I have to, it's the right thing to do." I finally say speaking up.

"well now's your chance." Jassy says looking at Riley who's at the door way.

With that she smiles and leaves as I take my phone and toss it onto the unmade bed.

"riles?" I say sweetly.

"yes jay." she says walking a little closer to me but still not in reach.

"take a seat I want to tell you something." I say instantly regretting those words.

"okay jay." she says back as she sits a little bit away from me.

How am I going to tell her?

Riley's POV;

Silence filled the air as I wait for James to tell me what's going on, he looks confused, and truth is I'm not sure what to think.

"James are you going to break up with me?" I ask him straight up.

"no I'm not." he says

That was a relief I couldn't deal with him breaking up with me, but I couldn't deal with this silence that filled the air either, it's like he was keeping something from me. But I wasn't sure what. What am I suppose to do?
