Bellatrix's accomplice

Chapter 27

We apparated to Malfoy manor and entered the room in which the meeting will be held. After scanning the room for two empty seats, my eyes landed on someone I wasn't expecting.

"What are you doing here Cissy?" I asked puzzled. "Well, this is my house" she replied sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at her and nudged Bella "meet me afterwards please Narcissa" I spoke sternly. She ignored me but she doesn't have a choice. I must know why she is here.

"Bellatrix, Y/N?" I heard someone say from across the table. I averted my attention to the voice and saw a young man staring at us. "It is you! After all this time. It's good to see you again!" he spoke excitedly. "Sev?" I whispered, realising who it was.

He nodded his head smiling. I couldn't believe it! "How have you been?" I asked politely. "Fine, and yourselves?" I nodded before saying, "I'm really sorry that we got expelled and couldn't be there for you. It was worth it though" I laughed and noticed Bella was smirking.

"Besides, isn't Potter and his mudblood wife dead now?" Bella said with a cackle, causing me to laugh insanely. "Don't speak about Lily like that. But yes, Potter is dead" Snape spoke so coldly, it sent shivers down my spine. I glared at him, "Why? Were you in love with her or something?"

He narrowed his eyes on me but before he got the chance to reply, a cloaked man walked in. We immediately bowed our heads down out of respect. "Evening my loyal subjects. We meet at last" he whispered.

This wasn't the same man as before, but it was still him.

"As you know, I have returned. My main mission now, is to defeat Harry Potter" I squealed internally. Killing all those muggles on our own agenda wasn't enough. We had a mission, and we were not going to fail.

"But he is just a boy" Peter Pettigrew said. I hadn't even realised he was here. "YOU!" I yelled, pointing my wand at him. He cowered away from me. "You got us expelled in order to protect your blood traitor friends. And you have the nerve to show up here?" I screamed.

I felt a pair of cold hands grab my shoulders. "Now now Y/N. We must be kind to Peter, he is the reason the Potters are dead after all" I turned to see Voldemort himself holding me steady. I relaxed at his touch, now I know that he is really here.

I slowly lowered my wand and nodded at his command. Peter was lucky he got off. But, if he makes one wrong move, I shall not be responsible for my actions.

The meeting came to an end and we were allowed to leave. Everyone apparated away, including Bella. But I stayed. I would not forget my commands.

I left the meeting room and made my way down to the library. I found Narcissa was already there, nose in a book. "Answer me Cissy" I spoke. She jumped at the sound of my voice and clutched her heart with her hand. "Merlin Y/N, must you do that?"

I slowly walked towards her as she put her book down. "I don't know what you want me to say" she spoke gently. "Why were you at that meeting Cissy?" by now, she was standing and inches away from me. "As I said, it is my home. I don't know why you are so bothered by this" she rolled her eyes.

"Show me your arm" I demanded. She swiftly held her arm out and rolled up her sleeve to reveal no mark. I took her arm in my hands and held my wand up to her skin. "May I?" I whispered. "Go ahead" she replied. I used the revelio charm on her forearm. Yet, nothing appeared. "I'm sorry" I spoke gently.

"It's fine" she said, snatching her arm away from me. "I just had to make sure Cissy. It worried me to see you there, I have to think about Draco". She furrowed her eyebrows, "why are you concerned about my son?"

"If anything was to happen to any of us out there, who would he be left with. I wouldn't want for him to end up as I did. I was left with virtually nobody, it was pure luck that I still had you and Bellatrix" I smiled sadly. She took my hands in hers, "Y/N, I am not a death eater and I never will be. I have to support my husband and the dark lord for the safety of this family"

I nodded understanding her reasons now. I felt guilty about questioning her but I just had to know. I couldn't risk losing another family member.

I bid Narcissa goodbye and apparated back home, "what took you so long?" Bella asked the second I arrived. "Nice to see you too Bellatrix" I replied sarcastically. She rolled her eyes and folded her arms just below her chest.

"What?" I asked. "What did Cissy say?". "She told me she is there to support Lucy. I made her show me her arm and she hasn't got the mark. Everything is fine" I sighed happily. I saw her relax at my words and she nodded.

"Have I ever told you that I love you?" Bella asked lovingly. "No, I don't think you have" I joked, she hit my arm playfully and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

If this is what love feels like, I never want that feeling to end.
