Bellatrix's accomplice

Chapter 28

Just as I had finished getting dressed, my mark began to burn horrendously. "Bella, is your mark burning?" I shouted and she walked into the bedroom clutching her arm. "Yes, we need to go. We're being summoned"

I got up and grabbed Bella's hand, she took us to our master.

We arrived and the dark lord was already stood before us, along with a few other people. "Nice to see you again Bellatrix and Y/N. I guess you're all wondering why you are here" Voldemort said smoothly. We all nodded and just before he was about to tell us, a snake slithered in and curled up at his feet.

"Ah Nagini" he said smiling. My eyes widened and I looked at Bella shocked. "Wait, my lord. Nagini?" he nodded before stating, "yes, this is Nagini. The same Nagini I said I was waiting for all those years ago" I smiled sweetly, this was just like a tragic love story. Something must have happened to her to be stuck as a serpent though, but that doesn't matter.

"Finally, let me begin. We will be going to the department of mysteries. There is something we must retrieve. You will all be my backup" he said coldly. And with that, he apparated us all there.

We were in a dimly lit room that appeared to go on for ages. From what we could tell, nobody else was here.

We split up in the search of a prophecy. It was very important to the dark lord so we knew we couldn't fail. Voldemort kept hidden for his own protection but Nagini followed close by us.

I stuck with Bella and as we turned a corner, we could see a light growing closer to us. We stayed behind a wall of crystal balls until we began to hear footsteps getting louder. We didn't notice that Nagini had kept moving and was headed towards the mysterious figure.

There was a traumatising scream and the sound of hissing. We peered around the corner to discover a ginger man being attacked by her. She struck him in the neck three times, sinking her venomous fangs into his skin.

It was unlikely he would survive this attack. His blood poured out of his neck as he clutched it, spreading crimson liquid everywhere. We giggled in satisfaction and quickly apparated away.

There were sounds of more people appearing so we had to leave.

The mission was a failure however, we still had time to retrieve it again.
