Chapter 30: Asmodeus and Beelzebub

Matt fired a warp arrow that Asmodeus dodged. Matt appeared behind him and fired a barrage of arrows at his back, but Asmodeus turned around and charged at Matt, slamming into him with his shoulder.

Asmodeus grabbed Matt and threw him into the air, throwing an energy blast in his direction. Matt saw the attack coming and fired an arrow. The attacks collided and created an explosion that sent them both flying away.

Matt landed on the ground and turned around, seeing Asmodeus run toward him. Matt jumped to the side and fired a cannonade of arrows toward him, which he blocked with his arm.

The arrows began to glow and exploded, dealing a hefty amount of damage to Asmodeus. The explosion blew his arm clean off, but Asmodeus regrew the severed arm and healed his other injuries.

Asmodeus fired a beam of energy from his mouth toward Matt, but he jumped to the side, evading the attack. Asmodeus sprouted wings from his back and flew toward Matt, grabbing him by the face and slamming him into a wall. He dragged him upward and threw him away, firing a beam from his mouth that pushed Matt to the ground.

Matt got up, injured from the blast as Asmodeus landed on the ground. Matt fired an ice arrow that froze Asmodeus up to his torso. Matt ran toward Asmodeus and did a charging dropkick, shattering the ice and sending Asmodeus crashing into a wall. Matt fired a barrage of arrows at Asmodeus, but he dodged them all and flew toward Matt as he nocked an arrow, gathering energy into it.

"Let's see if you can dodge this! Light Fissure Shot!"

Matt fired an arrow that moved five times faster than light, hoping the projectile would hit Asmodeus, but he saw it coming and dodged the attack. Asmodeus threw a punch, but Matt dodged the attack and stabbed Asmodeus with a stun arrow, allowing him to get away. Asmodeus Pulled the stun arrow and looked at Matt.

"A human who can move and fire an attack at five times the speed of light! What a rare sight to behold."

Matt smiled.

"I'm shocked that we're evenly matched, despite you having a higher power level than mine."

Asmodeus cracked his neck and looked at Lilim.

"I'm getting bored of this one versus one..."

He looked over at Beelzebub and smiled.

"Let's make it a one v two. Beelzebub."

Beelzebub walked forward, creating a sword out of the nearby lava. He lunged forward swinging his sword, but Matt jumped into the air, evading the attack. Asmodeus flew toward Matt and landed a punch that Matt blocked with his bow, but the impact sent him crashing into a wall.

Matt fired a barrage of Light Fissure Arrows at Asmodeus and Beelzebub, but they dodged them all. Beelzebub jumped into the air and did a downward slash, slashing Matt in with the lava sword. He grabbed him and threw him toward Asmodeus, who did a knee strike to Matt's stomach and knocked him down with an axe handle strike.

I pulled my sword from my scabbard and ran to aid Matt in the battle, knowing that he would get overwhelmed. I leaped forward and cut Asmodeus's left arm off, and then fired an energy blast that pushed him back. Asmodeus regenerated his arm and looked at Beelzebub.

"Looks like it's a two v two now. This'll make things more interesting. Eh, Beelzebub?"

Beelzebub told Asmodeus to shut up and fight as he ran toward me. I clashed my sword against Beelzebub's, and we began trading blows. Asmodeus went to help Beelzebub, but Matt fired an arrow, gaining his attention.

"You're still fighting me!"

Asmodeus flew toward Matt, who jumped into the air and fired arrows at him. Asmodeus dodged the arrows and fired an energy beam from his hands, but Matt fired a warp arrow, dodging the attack.

I clashed my sword against Beelzebub's and kicked him away as I fired an energy beam that pushed him back. Beelzebub tossed the energy beam into the air and looked in my direction, noticing that I was gone.

I appeared in front of him and landed a hard punch to his stomach, sending him flying into the air. I teleported above him and knocked him down with a double-axe handle. I then fired a barrage of energy blasts toward him as he fell.

I landed on the ground, examining the smoke from my attack when an energy beam came rushing toward me. I quickly jumped to the side, but Beelzebub teleported in front of me and landed and heavy punch to my gut, causing me to spit saliva. He grabbed my head and began squeezing it, making me scream in agony before throwing me aside.

Beelzebub lifted his arms, causing nearby lava to rise into the air as I got up. He threw the lava at me, hitting me with it as he closed his hands and caused the lava to cool, trapping me inside.

I created a burst of energy, escaping from the igneous rock, but noticed Beelzebub was gone. I looked around a bit, then quickly looked behind me, seeing Beelzebub stab me with his sword. I fell to the ground as Beelzebub charged energy into the palm of his hand.

"Farwell."

He fired an energy blast that exploded, launching me back as Matt and Asmodeus stopped fighting, seeing me fall to the ground. Matt fired a smoke arrow, obscuring Asmodeus's vision as he rushed to my aid.

"You ok?"

I got up, unfazed by the attacks from Beelzebub.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

I noticed that my stab wound began to heal on its own, much to my surprise. I ran over to continue my fight with Beelzebub as Matt looked at Asmodeus as the smoke surrounding him cleared.

Matt fired a warp arrow at Asmodeus and appeared in front of him, throwing a kick that he blocked. Asmodeus pushed Matt back and fired an energy beam from his mouth. Matt fired an arrow that pierced through the attack and Asmodeus's head.

Asmodeus healed his wounds and flew toward Matt, throwing a barrage of physical attacks, but Matt dodged them all and did a jumping punch, sending Asmodeus into the air.

Matt fired a warp arrow and knocked down Asmodeus by slamming him with his bow. He then created clones of himself that fired a barrage of energy beams toward the ground. Asmodeus flew toward Matt, evading the attacks and generated a burst of energy that dissipated the clones and sent Matt flying back into a wall.

Asmodeus grabbed Matt and dragged him to the ground. Once they reached the floor, he lifted Matt into the air and then slammed him into the ground multiple times before generating a shockwave that sent Matt sliding across the floor.

Matt recovered himself and fired some explosive arrows that landed in front of Asmodeus. The demon put his arms up as they exploded, sending sliding back. He crashed into Beelzebub, knocking them both to the ground.

As they got up, I yelled at Matt to end the fight as I charged energy into my hands. Matt knocked an arrow putting energy into the tip. Our attacks crashed into Asmodeus and Beelzebub, generating an explosion that reduced them to ashes.

Matt and I gave each other a thumbs-up as Lilim came by to check on us with Leo and Connor.

"Great job on defeating them, you two. Follow me."

We followed her into a hallway, and as we were walking, we heard footsteps heading in our directions.

"I think that explosion gave the guards our location. We'll have to fight them to get through."

Lilim fired an energy blast at some guards knocking them back, allowing us to continue down the hall. I slashed some guards as Matt fire some stun arrows at our enemies. After a while, we made it to the next room, seeing some sitting there.

The figure got up, pulling out a katana.

"So, you have finally arrived. Prepare to meet death!"
