Neon Cavaliers

Chapter 2: Aramore Kingdom

The person appeared to be a man who was almost as tall as me, wearing a set of steel armor and a helmet on hiding their face. "I will not ask again! State who you are or else!" I looked at the man and asked, "Do you mind telling us who you are first."

"The name's Selena, Commander of the Aramore army and best swordsman ever to live. Make sure you remember that, got it?" We nodded our heads. "May I ask your names, strangers?"

"Oh, My name is Alex, and that's Leo, Connor, and Matt. We were transported to this world." He stared at us for a while and then began walking closer towards us. "Summoned from another world, were you? Well, that explains your weird clothes." He turned around and gave a hand gesture to one of the troops, who got on a horse and rode away. "Where is he going?" I asked.

"I sent him to tell the queen of your arrival. You four do wield the Neon Weapons." I looked at my sword and the shield on my arm. "The Neon Weapons?"

"I know you have a lot of questions right now, so we will take you to the queen to answer them. Follow me." He got on his horse, and we followed him with his troops behind us. When we got onto the trail, I looked around the surrounding landscapes and saw forests, rivers flowing with crystal clear water that looked drinkable, flatlands, and some people who looked like farmers. I Asked Selena what Aramore is like.

"What's it like? Well, it's home to the biggest shopping district and the biggest army as well. It won't be much longer till we get there anyway. You can see for yourself."

When we arrived at the kingdom, I couldn't believe my eyes. The roads were wide, and everyone looked like they came from different places. When we walked to the castle, I saw potion and weapon shops, salons, and pretty much anything you can think of was there. We arrived at the castle, and Selena took us to the queen's throne room. The troop Selena sent was there speaking to the queen and quickly left when he noticed us.

"My name is Queen Tiffani. You four must be the ones who were summoned to this world, correct?" The Queen had brown hair and grayish eyes, and she spoke with composure. We nodded our heads. "I see. Well then, let me explain why you were summoned to this world. You see, we are at war with the king of all devils, otherwise known as the Devil King, and we need your help to go to defeat him." She looked at us and then called Selena to come forth. "Yes, Queen Tiffani?"

"Go and gather the princesses for me and tell them to come here. Oh, and go and get some new clothes for these boys as well." She nodded her head and quickly left the room. "Now then, may I have your names and age?"

"The names Alexander Durham but you can call me Alex, and I'm 22 years old."

"My name is Mateo Glassmeyer, and I'm 23 years old."

"The name is Leonardo Alcantara Aguirre, and I'm 21 years old."

"I'm Connor Cantrell, and my age is 21 years old."

"Well, then Alex, Mateo, Leonardo, and Connor I assume you have a lot of questions. Please ask me anything, or do you not have any?"

Mateo walked forward. "Is there any chance you can send me back?"

I looked over at Matt. "You can't be serious?! You want to go back and not save this world from the Devil King?"

"To be honest, Alex, this seems like something you'll enjoy. I have rent to pay and stuff back in our world. We have actual lives there, the same with you."

I turned my head away from them, thinking to myself. "Why do they want to go back? What purpose would they serve there when we could have a real reason here." I looked back at the queen to hear her answer.

"No, I'm afraid the only way to be sent back to your world is to beat the Devil King. Any other questions?" We shook our heads.

"I see. Well then, it's time for you to meet the four princesses. Let them in."
