Chapter 10: Lullin Kingdom

"We're here."

Autumn's village was covered in nothing but dirt and dead crops. Everyone looked like they haven't eaten in weeks or even months. We went to the center of the village where Autumn rang a bell, making everyone come over.

"Hello, everyone. Thanks to these people here, I brought back the Gleon seed."

She put the seed up in the sky so everyone can see. They all started cheering, and she planted the seed in the middle of the town where a small stone circle was built and poured water on it. The ground began to shake heavily, and a large tree sprouted quickly, although it was half the size of the Gleon tree Terra guards. They used ladders to get the fruit down and began to pass it around to everyone.

The fruit was sweet and juicy, and the second you picked one off the tree, a new fruit would grow in its place. I asked the leader of the village where the next kingdom was. He told me that it was the Lullin kingdom, a famous spot for people who want to become bounty hunters, and it's west of the village we are at. I thanked him and told the others that we were heading to the next kingdom. We waved goodbye and headed off.

We made it to the Lullin Kingdom, which was surrounded by mountains. We found a guild and decided to eat some food before heading to meet the king or queen. While I was inside the guild looking at the quest for us to do some time, I noticed someone similar sitting at a table with someone else at their side. When I got closer, I realized it was my friend, Bryce, wearing a black trench coat with tan pants, a white shirt with black boots and a great sword on his back, and black hair and eyes.

"Bryce?"

He turned around and got up from his chair quickly.

"Alex! What are you doing here?"

"I should be the one asking you!"

"Well, we were transported here to help fight the devil king but ended up being bounty hunters instead."

"We?"

"Clayton's here too."

Clayton is Bryce's best friend who was sitting next to him with gray hair and red eyes, wearing a gray jacket, white collar shirt with a black tie, black pants, and shoes.

"Any chance you guys can take us to see the king or queen?"

"Yeah, we can take you to see the king."

I told the others that my friend Bryce, who was also summoned to this world, is going to take us to see the king.

"I see you have that edgy look, Bryce."

"Well, you know me. Always going for the edgy look."

They took us to the king's throne room, who was throwing knives at a wall.

"Well, if it isn't my two favorite bounty hunters, what can I do for you? Did you find what's causing this drought?"

"No, not yet. We came here because my friend wishes to speak with you about something."

"I see. What is it?"

"You said that there was a drought?"

"Yes, we have been without water for three days."

"I think it's one of the Devil Kings generals who are causing this drought."

"That could be a possibility. What makes you-?"

As he was about to finish his sentence one of the castle guards came bursting in yelling at the king that there is trouble.

"What is it?"

"Wilmborne Village is under attack by a hoard of Centaurs, a large Minotaur, and a Nuckelavee, and we spotted a Hydra in the mountains heading for the kingdom with someone on the top of its head."

Leo looked at me, scared.

"Isn't Wilmborne Village the village Autumn lives in?"

"Yeah, but based on how far we are from the village. We won't make it in time, plus there's the Hydra we have to stop from getting to the kingdom."

I looked over at Clayton and noticed that he was holding a book filled with spells.

"Hey, Clayton? That spellbook you're holding; does it know a transportation spell?"

"Yes."

"Ok, here's the plan. Leo, Matt, Yuki, Clayton, and Lucy go to the village while Me, Bryce, Selena, Ruby, and Connor will go fight the Hydra. Everyone agrees with the plan?"They all agreed, and we left the castle. Clayton began to say the spell to teleport them to the village.

"Warp!"

They teleported away, and we headed to where the Hydra is to stop it from reaching the kingdom.
