Chapter 32: Lilith

We followed Lilim down a hallway and eventually reached a door guarded by demons. I pointed at the door, asking if that was the demon king's throne room, which Lilim said it was. I turned around, facing my friends.

"This is it, guys. Once we beat the demon king, we'll be able to return home."

I walked out of the corner, preparing to blast the door open and remove the guards.

"One more thing. The Devil King is mine to kill, understood?"

Leo and Matt nodded their heads, but Connor rolled his eyes. I fired a massive blast at the door, killing the guards and allowing us to get inside. We pulled out weapons and rushed into the room, seeing the devil king sitting on his throne with a woman feeding his grapes on his left. He looked at us and smiled.

"It's about time your four showed up. Alexander Durham. Connor Cantrell. Leonardo Alcantara Aguirre. And Mateo Glassmeyer. I welcome you all."

I asked how he knew our names, and he smiled again.

"Let's just say that I have someone who has been watching you and giving me useful information."

He looked at the woman next to him and told her to put on some entertainment for him. She bowed and walked down the steps and got into a battle stance. The woman had long marron-colored hair that faded to black at the ends, marron-colored eyes, and the same skin color as Lilim. She wore a sports bra that showed her midriff, a skirt, knee-high socks, fingerless gloves, and boots, all with a dark red and black color scheme.

"You heard my husband. Which one of you will face the great Lilith first?"

We looked at each other and decided to settle who goes first with rock paper scissors, which Matt won. He walked forward, preparing to face Lilith.

"Alright, let's go."

Lilith sniffed the air and smiled.

"I see my daughter gave you the devil fruit, increasing your power exceptionally. Twenty percent of my power should be enough for you."

She charged at matt and threw a punch, but Matt rolled to the side, got up, and fired a barrage of arrows toward her. Lilith created an energy barrier around herself and teleported behind Matt, landed a kick to his ribs that sent him flying into a wall. Lilith raised her right hand, creating spheres of energy above her that rained down as sharp needle-like energy blades once she moved her right hand toward Matt.

Lilim rushed toward Matt as he jumped out of the wall, and Connor noticed something about her.

"So she's the one who managed to make Lucifer use his full power. Even when using 20 percent of her power, she's way stronger than he was. I wonder how strong she'll get when using all of her power?"

Matt launched Lilith into the air with a jumping punch, fired a warp arrow, and grabbed her face, dragging her to the ground. Matt rolled away, and as Lilith got up, fired a barrage of arrows that covered her in ice, like a glacier. He then fired an explosive arrow that sent her flying back into a wall.

Lilith landed on the floor with a grin on her face as she looked at Matt and immediately rushed toward him, landing a punch that he blocked with his bow. She appeared behind him and landed a backhand strike. She sprouted wings from her back and flew underneath Matt, kicking him into the air with a double-legged flip kick, and started punching in the back before appearing above him and knocking him to the ground with a double axe-handle punch.

Matt recovered himself and jumped back, dodging an incoming punch from Lilith.

"It looks like you and I evenly matched. Tell me what's your name."
