Chapter 21: Round 2 begins

"It is now time for the second round of the tournament!"

The crowd began to cheer loudly.

"I'm sure you all know who I am, but if not, I'm the announcer, Musen."

The crowd cheered.

"Our first match is Emi, with a power level of 350,000, and Matt, who has a power level of 100,000!"

Emi and Matt walked out onto the arena and entered a battle position.

"Begin!"

Emi charged at Matt at a blinding speed, swinging her sword in front of her. Matt blocked it with his bow and pushed her back. He then ran toward her and did a shoulder charge. Emi jumped to the side, and Matt quickly turned around, shooting a few arrows at her. She smacked the arrows away with her swords and fired an energy blast from her hand.

The blast made an impact with Matt, pushing him back. The smoke cleared, and Matt looked at Emi as she held her hands into the air, creating a purple flame, brought them in front of her, and aimed it at Matt.

"Fire Shock!"

She fired the beam attack at Matt as he put his bow in front of him.

"Water Arrow!"

Matt fired an arrow made of water at Emi's Fire shock attack. They clashed and surrounded the arena in steam.

Matt looked around for Emi in the steam.

"Where is she?"

Matt walked around in the steam for a bit, stopped, and closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. He opened them and fired an arrow behind him.

He took a few steps back and fired an arrow to his left.

"This is pretty nerve-wracking."

Matt fired an arrow every time he heard a sound, hoping to hit Emi but began to get tired.

"Damn. I can't keep this up, but I have to win."

Matt walked around more, and Emi slashed him from behind, taking Matt by surprise.

She turned around, slashing Matt a couple more times before kicking him away.

Matt looked at her to see her surround her sword in energy.

"I expected you to be stronger."

"Heh. Don't count me out yet!"

Matt surrounded himself in the aura and lifted an arrow in the air, bring energy into it.

Emi had a shocked expression on her face.

"You increased your power level from 100,000 to 200,000!"

She smirked.

"This is it!"

Matt nocked the arrow as he put more energy into it.

"Spirit Arrow!"

Matt fired a medium-sized arrow filled with a massive amount of energy.

Emi created a large energy sword from the energy she gathered and swung it down.

"Howling Slice!"

Both attacks made contact and cleared the steam covering the arena.

Matt charged another Spirt Arrow and fired it as Emi put more force into her attack.

Emi let out a yell and broke through Matt's Spirit Arrow.

"What the?!"

Emi's attack made contact with Matt and caused an explosion. Once the smoke subsided, Matt was lying on the floor unconscious.
