Chapter 16: Yuki VS. Selena

We returned to the Castal Kingdom, and the queen gave us 1,000 silver and 20 gold coins for saving her. The queen decided to hold a party for her rescue and the defeat of the fourth general.

I was sitting at a table drinking some juice while Matt, Leo, and Connor were singing some songs as Selena was watching me, but I didn't notice her.

She got up and walked toward Yuutsuna, who was talking to a fox demi-human and dragged Yuutsuna to talk to her.

"What is it, Selena? Couldn't you see I was getting to know that girl?"

"I need your help."

"Yeah, yeah. What is it?"

She pointed at me.

"Alex?"

"I want to dance with him."

Yuutsuna smiled.

"Leave it to me."

She walked over to me and smiled.

"Hey Yuutsuna, what's up?"

She leaned forward and whispered into my ear. I got up from my chair, walked to Selena, and held out my hand with my face blushing.

"Yuutsuna told me you wanted to dance?"

Her face turned red as she nodded her head and took my hand as we walked to the place where other people were dancing.

I glanced at Selena and could tell she was nervous as we danced slowly.

"Hey, Alex?"

"Yeah?"

"Nevermind."

I was going to say something but decided not to.

Matt noticed us dancing and tapped Leo on the shoulder.

"Leo, look at that."

"That's a surprise. Never expected I'd see a day where Alex dances with a girl."

Yuki overheard them and looked at me. She got up from her chair and walked over.

"Sir Alex, can I dance with you too?"

"Sure."

I thanked Selena for the dance and grabbed Yuki's hand as she dragged me somewhere else.

"Tch!"

Yuutsuna walked over to Selena.

"Selena?"

"Yeah?"

"Why do you sound so bummed?"

"You saw it."

"Are you going to let that slide?"

Selena clenched her fist.

"No. I won't!"

She walked to where Yuki and I were dancing and slapped her across the face. I looked at Selena, shocked.

"Selena?!"

"Damn, Demi! Know our place!"

"Selena!"

I looked at Yuki, who was lying on the floor sobbing. Selena took her glove off, throwing it on the floor next to Yuki.

"I challenge you, Yuki."

"I don't want to fight you, Selena."

"I'm not giving you a choice."
