Chapter 11: Wilmborne Village

"No way."

The village was in utter disarray as Leo looked to see the Centaurs destroying the buildings. He noticed a woman holding her child running away from a Centaur. They fell onto the ground as the Centaur raised its sword to the air to kill them, but Leo cut a gash on its stomach, killing it.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes, thank you."

Leo asked one of the troops to take them and other people to safety. Matt was shooting arrows at the Centaurs as Leo came over to see how he was doing.

"Have you seen Autumn anywhere?"

"No, but we have to get all these people out of here."

"Sir Leo, there are people stuck under the rubble over here!"

Leo ran over and dug the rubble and lifted some of the rocks, which weighed just as much as concrete, and asked Yuki to take them to safety after Ruby healed them.

Leo fought more of the Centaurs and headed to the center of the town where he ran into the Nuckelavee next to the Gleon Tree. It noticed Leo and stopped touching the tree, which the monster was causing it to wilt. The Nuckelavee was covered in red flesh with the top half of a human and the bottom half of a horse. It began to walk toward Leo and began to cause a heatwave.

"So, you're the one who was behind the drought and killed all the crops."

It stopped, pulled out a spear, and began to charge at Leo. Leo dodged the attack cutting its leg and making it stumble to the floor.

"Man, this is going to be easy."

The Nuckelavee got up with its wound healing slowly. It screamed, running toward Leo and hitting him with its arm, making him crash into a house, causing it to collapse onto him. He lifted the rubble off him as the Nuckelavee charged at him with its spear in front of it.

Leo jumped back as the spear hit a piece of stone from the house, slashed the monster from its side, proceeded to attack it, and made an x shape with his swords.

"It's over. Turbulent Slice!"

He unleashed his attack launching the Nuckelavee 20 feet into a stone wall.

"That should finish it."

Leo began to walk away when he froze. He turned around to see the Nuckelavee glaring at him. It began to walk toward him, slowly picking up speed. Leo tried to move, but the glance from the monster made him freeze with fear. The Nuckelavee was about to impale him with its spear when something pierced its head, causing it to fall to the ground three inches away from Leo. Leo looked over to see Matt holding his bow.

"Thanks, I owe you one."

"Don't mention it."

Matt and Leo looked over as they heard someone scream. Autumn was cornered by the Minotaur. The Minotaur was 30 feet and 5 inches tall, with the body of a man and the head and tail of a bull. Leo ran over as fast as he could but was stopped by some Centaurs about to attack as he got into a stance.

"Counter!"

He pierced his swords into the Centaurs and continued to run toward the Minotaur. It noticed him and quickly grabbed Autumn, holding her up against the wall.

"Go no further, or I will drop her!"

Leo stopped running, and Centaurs began to surround him.

"Crap, what now?"

"Leo, get down!"

Leo looked over to see a barrage of arrows falling from the sky that Matt fired. The arrows hit all the Centaurs and hit the Minotaur in the eye. The Minotaur slammed Autumn into a wall, making it crumble onto her as the Minotaur stepped back in pain.

Leo and Matt ran over and began to move the rubble, looking for Autumn. They eventually found her, and Matt checked for a pulse but to no avail.

"She's not breathing."

Leo stepped back with tears.

"I couldn't save a friend?"

"Relax, maybe Ruby-"

Matt noticed a purple aura surrounding Leo as it pushed him back. The aura launched Matt onto the ground, and Matt looked up to see Leo with a dog mask.

"You!"

The Minotaur looked over at Leo, pulling out the arrow from its eye.

"You think you have a chance against me, puny human?"

"I'll make you pay for killing one of my friends."

"Hmph."

Leo began to run at the Minotaur, and he changed into a Cerberus.

"What?"

Leo jumped into the air, pushing the Minotaur onto the ground, and began biting its shoulder. The Minotaur kicked Leo off him making him crash into a house. The Minotaur took out his axe, walking toward Leo. It grabbed Leo and raised its axe, preparing to cut off one of his heads. The Minotaur swung his axe down, but Leo quickly grabbed his arm and tossed him onto the ground, scratching him with his claws.

"Damn it."

The Minotaur punched Leo in the face making him recoil back. The Minotaur hit Leo multiple times with his axe making him bleed.

"You're wasting my time! Just die like that girl."

The Minotaur charged at Leo, but Leo headbutted him in the stomach, making him fall back to the ground. Leo then proceeded to create a small energy ball from the mouths on his three heads that quickly grew in size as they combined.

"Cerberus Bomb!"

Leo used the middle head to fire the blast as it contacted the Minotaur. The Minotaur let out a scream as his entire body disintegrated as the energy blast flew up into the sky and exploded. Leo reverted into his normal self, and Matt ran over to check on him.

"What happened to you?"

"I don't know."

"Well, at least you defeated the Minotaur, and I have some good news; it looks like Autumn was unconscious."

"Really?"

"Yep, she should be up on her feet tomorrow since Clayton used a spell to make her recover faster."

"Hey, do you think Alex and the others are done with the Hydra?"

"I hope so. Let's finish the rest of the Centaurs first."

"Right."
