"We call it the ultimate teen crib. Filled with amazing home electronics, arcade games-"
"A swirly slide!" Carlos exclaimed as he interrupted the set designer as she explained the picture she'd drawn up, but she only winked at Carlos.
"Cool, right?" Griffin asked. "Put a swirly slide in my office," he said to Abdul. "Want a swirly slide, Gwen?" he asked and she shrugged.
"Sure. Can I have it in my apartment though, please Uncle Griff?"
"Of course you can," he smiled and she returned it from where she sat at the conference table, halfway between her father and the boys and halfway between the set design that Griffin went and sat in front of at the head of the table. The boys had to admit that they were shocked at the way Gwen had Griffin wrapped around her finger.
"Look, Griffin, I don't know what this is, but I need to work with the dogs on harmonies today," Gustavo spoke up.
"Change your plans. Our ancient Japanese founder, Mr Fujizaki, wants to dump our music division, but your boys are going to change his mind."
"And we get to live in there?" Kendall asked.
"Yes..."
Their faces brightened.
"...for two hours," Griffin finished.
Their faces fell.
"While you shoot a promotional video surrounded by RCM/CBT/Globalnet/Sanyoid products. Which will show Fujizki that our future rock stars are perfect for selling his blenders, plasma TVs and missile defence systems. Oh, and do some interviews," Griffin said as Kelly took notes and Gwen began typing on her blackberry. "You know, why they sing, why they were that helmet, and why they love RCM/CBT/Globalnet/Sanyoid arcade games, industrial-strength playground slides and...." Griffin continued after pointing at the picture. "The new XZ5 micro laptop. Look how tiny. For you Gwen," he said as he slid the device down the table to her and she smiled in thanks as she opened it up, listening to James as he said,
"And we could all wear bandannas. It could be our thing. Bandannas."
Though Griffin shot down the idea, as did the rest of the band with silence, Gwen had to say that he did suit the bandanna he wore.
"Griffin you can't keep coming into my studio every day and interrupting my training sessions," Gustavo spoke up.
"Yes, I can," Griffin smirked as he placed his arms on the armrests of his chair, fitting the part of the scary villain quite well. "And do the interviews by the water. Fujizaki thinks water is lucky. It's weird."
"Yep," Gwen agreed as the laptop booted up and she punched in a username and password. "Just to be clear uncle Griff, you want the interviews by the water along with a performance in the teen hangout crib thing?"
"Precisely," he said, and she began typing as Kelly began scribbling down more notes. "And I need it in 2 days."
Her eyes widened as she looked back to Griffin who stood and said, "Or the music division is gone. But have fun with it," he grinned, giving Gwen an affectionate tap on the shoulder before walking out.
"Ok, you organise the construction of the crib here in Studio A," Kelly instructed Gwen.
"Got it."
"I'll find a nice beach location for the interviews and put out some calls for a hot director," she finished, and Gustavo stood up in outrage.
"I'm a hot director!" he exclaimed. "And we're doing everything here because it's easier, quicker and cheaper. Gwenny, finish up on those construction orders and then I'll show you where to build this thing."
