"You're disgusting, Heeseung."

My brother, Heeseung and I, were in the kitchen of his house eating lunch together. I live with him, since he's 21 and an adult. Our parents were overseas for business, and weren't coming back anytime soon.

The house was big enough for the two of us; more than enough, actually. Our parents were wealthy enough to lend him a house before they left. Considerate, I guess.. I couldn't live by myself since I was 17 and not an adult yet.

Though we lived together by ourselves, our lifestyles were sort of different. We had different ways of getting through the day. He wasn't a student anymore; he's been graduate high school, I'm in my senior year of high school right now.

We got along pretty nicely; we had no choice but to be nice to each other. We kind of stayed out of each other's business. We weren't the typical, average brother-sister that you see in cheesy movies. We talked and joked around, but we were never really close like siblings.

When it came to our friends and what we did, we stayed out of each other's business. One of us was always out the house. If I was staying inside, it just so happens that Heeseung is out. If Heeseung stayed inside, I would be out.

I was in a best friend trio with two other girls; Yeji and Minju. Park Yeji being the little sister of Park Sunghoon, who is best friends with Heeseung. Park Minju being the sister of Park Jay, who was also best friends with my brother. Other than them being my best friends' brothers, I don't really know anything more about Heeseung's friends.

We've been best friends since freshman year, and we have been inseparable ever since. I'm actually kind of glad I met them. As corny as it sounds, I was such a loner after me and this guy fell off. He was the only person I was friends with, and after things went south with us, I refused to be friends with anyone until I met the two girls.

Growing up, I was best friends with this guy named Yang Jungwon. Same age as me, same grade. We grew up together. As we got older, we developed feelings for each other at the start of freshmen year. We didn't date or anything, we just knew that we liked each other. Maybe it was for the best, because he ended up moving away without saying goodbye to me. He was my first love, even though we never were in a relationship. He was the first guy I ever laid my eyes on romantically.

I haven't really been interested in any guys ever since. I had a boyfriend beginning of freshman year, but I ended things with him because I felt like I wasn't ready to fully commit. I'm over Yang Jungwon. I had no choice but to move on from him, since he left so abruptly. It's been years and I haven't seen him ever since he left. We don't keep in contact. The last day I saw him was the last day I would ever contact him or hear from him again.

Going back to my best friends, I'm really glad I met them. They helped me feel confident again after things went bad with Jungwon. Those two are really the only people I choose to interact with every day. I like to keep to myself.

Minju is the oldest out of us, just by one year, though we still use honorifics with her.

Yeji and I were close enough to drop the honorifics, since we were just a few months apart. I knew her a little before we met Minju, so we are just a tad bit closer, but in general, all three of us are close.

We are the closest of friends.

It's really convenient that all of our brothers know each other and they're best friends, and that we are best friends, too. We make fun of our brothers all the time. It's one of the many reasons why we get along. The three of us go to school together every day. Minju got kept back a year because of personal issues. She's technically supposed to be graduated already, but let's keep that a secret.
