I walked back home from the cafe, carefully holding the cute little bag that held Heeseung's boba and straw inside. I walked up onto the front porch and took out my keys, unlocking the door. Heeseung and his friends were in the living room, playing games.
I closed the door and locked it, taking my shoes off.
"Heeseung, you didn't tell me you had friends over." I place my purse down on the bookshelf near the front door.
"Hyewon. You're finally home. Where have you been?" Heeseung threw a paper airplane at me.
I caught it, rolling my eyes and throwing it back to him.
"I went out with my friends. Don't you remember, dumb ass?" I retort.
"Hey, Hyewon noona." Riki greeted me.
"Hi, Riki. Please stop calling me noona. I don't care about honorifics." I chuckle lightly at him and he blushes.
"Hey, Hyewon..." Sunoo's shy voice appeared, greeting me.
"Stop being so shy, Sunoo!" Jay teased him, patting him on the back.
Sunoo looked down in embarrassment, turning red.
"Jay, leave him alone. Hi, Sunoo." I walk closer to them.
"Hyung! Your bathroom seriously smells so nice. Who takes care of it for you?" I hear an unfamiliar voice appear.
"Hyewon does. She cleans around the house like the freak she is." Heeseung responds.
I look over at the owner of the unfamiliar voice. My eyes widen and my body freezes up as I see who it is... Yang Jungwon. My old childhood best friend.
My first love.
"It's... you....?" He mumbled to me, also looking astonished.
"It's really you." He breathed out.
"Woah! Why's it so awkward?" Jake laughed.
"Holy shit! I forgot you guys were childhood best friends!" Heeseung gasped.
"Where did you even... come from?" I blink repeatedly, looking at Jungwon.
His dimple remained the same. His hair was now a dark brown, and his face looked the same; just more mature. He grew taller and more slim, yet a little bit muscular.
"I came back today." He responded to me.
We struggled to keep eye contact as we both felt the awkward tension between us.
"He goes to your school now, you know!" Heeseung shouts to me.
"What? Really?" I look at Heeseung, then back at Jungwon.
"Yeah. I'm starting on Monday." Jungwon nodded his head gently.
"What the..." I mutter under my breath.
"You guys are weird." Sunghoon laughs.
"Oh! Hyewon. My boba." Heeseung spoke up again.
I snap back into reality and I walk over to Heeseung, giving him the bag with his boba inside and the straw. I sit down next to Sunghoon, while Heeseung gave me a quick smile. He poked the straw into the boba and took a sip, then gasped.
