CHAPTER 18

"OMG! BESSY!" masayang salubong sa 'kin ni Reena pagdating ko sa restaurant na pinag-usapan naming pagkikitaan naming ngayon araw.

After a week since she called me to tell that she's finally getting married, ngayon lang kami natuloy sa meet up namin. Well, I think, we both got busy, that's why.

We excitedly hugged each other nang makalapit ako sa kaniya. I really missed this woman and her tactless mouth! Well, I always miss the old times every time we get to see each other again like this, the same with Ryca and Engelyn.

"By the way, I'm with my jowa right now, bessy," she told me and pointed Harold who's sitting beside hers.

I smiled at him. "Nabulag ka talaga nito?" sa halip ay biro ko.

For their three years of relationship, we became close, too. Maraming beses na rin kasi kaming nagkita ng ganito kasama si Reena.

Harold chuckled. "Yeah, I guess,"

"You guess?" Reena reacted violently. Hinampas pa talaga sa braso ang jowa.

"Of course, I love you. That's why," bawi naman agad ni Harold, hinalikan pa si Reena sa pisngi. Lintik naman sa ngiti dahil sa kilig ang isa.

Habang ako naman ay napaikot ang mga mata. "Oh, come on! Kung pinapunta niyo lang ako rito para masaksihan ang katamisan niyo, well then, I'd rather go home now and leave you two here!" singhal ko nga sa kanila.

"Sus! Ikaw naman, bessy!" lambing agad sa 'kin ni Reena saka ako pinaupo na sa katapat nilang upuan. "Let's order food first? Halos kadarating lang din kasi namin kaya 'di pa kami nakaka-order,"

Tumango lang ako.

We ordered our food right away when a waiter asked for it. They left us again to get our orders after. Then we continued talking about a lot of things, but more about how Harold proposed to her.

While Reena was talking, I saw how Harold stared at her with full of love in his eyes. And he seems didn't change ever since I have known him as Reena's boyfriend. He's always like that every time we were together like this. He always shows how he loves my friend so much.

I'm so happy for my friend for finally meeting someone like Harold who could love him wholeheartedly. And now, they are finally getting married! Hindi naman gan'on karami ang naging karelasyon ni Reena noon, pero masaya talaga ako na nahanap na niya ngayon ang para sa kaniya.

"So, when will be the wedding?" I asked them both now that we are eating. Sumubo muna ako ng hiniwa kong chicken from my plate bago nag-angat ulit ng tingin sa kanila.

"It's two months from now, bessy. On the 20th of April sana kung maaari. That month din kasi ang uwi ng parents niya from Canada. Alam mo naman, doon na nakatira ang mga 'yon. Pero nakaplano na rin talaga ang bakasyon nila rito that month. Right, babe?" Reena answered, then turned to Harold. He just nodded.

Yes, I heard that Harold's parents are living in Canada. Doon din nagkakilala ang dalawa nang magtrabaho roon si Reena three years ago. Mahaba lang talaga ang hair ng kaibigan ko kasi sinundan talaga siya rito ni Harold nang umuwi siya.

Napatango-tango na lang din ako habang naiisip na mahaba-habang panahon pa naman pala ang magiging preparations sa kasal nila, pero kailangan na nga ring simulan.

"How about your wedding gown or Harold's suit or tuxedo? Or for your principal sponsors' wardrobes as you align it with the theme, if you have any?"

Reena smiled. "Don't worry about that, bessy. We already talked with my sister's friend, who's a designer, about that. Siya na 'yong kinuha namin since nag-suggest nga agad si Ate. And, siyempre, ayaw kong masiyado kang ma-stress sa pag-o-organize ng kasal namin, 'no. Ayaw kong ma-stress sa mismong kasal ko ang isa sa mga bridesmaids ko! Kaya sasamahan din kita sa lahat, bessy,"
