I Don't Do Trust

Trusting people is something I don't do.
Most will just turn around and backstab you.
You tell them a secret,
Saying its just between you and I,
Then they will go and tell some other guys.

My parents can't be trusted,
For if I told them the things in my mind,
I would be I a mental hospital before I could even say goodbye.

But that's not the main reason you see,
It's just easier keeping stuff to me.
I won't tell anybody my secrets,
And I won't tell myself lies.

It's easier keeping to myself,
Then put my faith on somebody else.

But if you trust others,
I give you a round of applause.
For that's a checkpoint,
You haven't been hurt enough to stop,
Which means a whole awful lot.

Maybe you just have better people in your life,
Ones that won't judge you for the things in your mind.
You're lucky,
The people around me are blind.
