Depression

It's hard to explain depression to people because they don't know how much it hurts and how sometimes it makes you feel numb.
This is what depression is to me.

Depression is feeling so much,
But yet so little.
Depression is panting for air,
But your lungs stay empty.
Depression is realizing the mistakes you made,
Even when nobody else does.
Depression is your smile getting wider,
But your soul darker.
Depression is being alone,
But surrounded by people.
Depression is crying so loud,
But no one can hear.
Depression is feeling a failure,
To even those who have no expectations.
Depression is being torn apart by the little things,
And you are to everyone but yourself forgiving.
Depression is not being scared of death,
It's being scared of living.
