They don't understand,
They don't understand,
They think they do,
But they don't understand.
They don't understand why I cry,
They think I'm just weak,
But the real reason I do it,
Is because I can't seem to speak.
They don't understand why I'm so uptight,
They think I want to be,
Like I have some kind of choice,
Like it's all up to me.
They don't understand why dying is better,
And they sort of might be right,
But they don't know what it's like,
To feel like each day is a fight.
They don't understand why I'm so lazy,
I'm not lazy I'm tired,
But at the same time,
I'm constantly wired.
I'm not saying I understand everything,
I know I don't, but I wish I could,
But one thing I do understand,
Is how it feels to be misunderstood.
