There Were People

There were people that said I couldn't do it,
That I was too weak,
To reach such a high peak.
That I was I was too slow,
To little knowledge to know.
That I was too fragile,
To be so agile.
That I was too crazy,
But still so lazy.
That I was too angry,
And always cranky.
That I didn't have persistence,
To reach such a distance.
That I was too dramatic,
And my emotions too erratic.
That I was too sensitive,
And way too defensive.

But I still believed I could.
So I tried and I tried,
All day and all night,
Then I realized they were right.
