After a pleasant meal with your parents you arrived back to your apartment, you tidied away a few things you'd left out and sat down on the sofa to start the manuscript that had been given to you, Maple sitting down by your feet, she fell into a deep sleep and it wasn't long after that you also did.

The rest of the week flew by. Friday you moped around the apartment, some more furniture had arrived and you spent most of the day and evening building that. Your parents popped round to help you with a few things you couldn't do alone, bringing with them a freshly cooked meal from Pete, you knew this would become a regular occurance, at least he had made you something healthy, tomorrow was your first session at the gym, you had booked a half an hour session and yoga class. Seemingly you needed some zen in your life.

Saturday morning you woke early took Maple around the corner for a walk and left her at your parents house which was fifteen minutes away from the gym. Putting your earphones on you left your parents and strolled quickly to the gym. When you arrived for your first slot you looked around the almost empty cooling room, this is exactly what you'd hoped for when you booked the slot. Making your way around the machines you fell back into a rhythm that you had lost when you were with Nathan, although he worked in a gym you barely went. The only habit was going once a week to keep at something and stop Nathan from moaning at you. You were always too busy, eating out and being in the relationship got too comfortable and you had put on a little weight. You were never small, had always been a healthy size ten/twelve, you had curves, a tiny waist and hips that would turn heads, you had also been blessed with an impressive chest. An hour glass figure. But a comfortable relationship and the pressures of actually having to adult made you up a dress size and start to feel uncomfortable.

Perhaps that was the reason that Nathan had cheated. The petite little brunette who lived below was skinny and often went to the gym. Maybe you were to blame for Nathan's eyes to wander. Shaking the thought from your head you continue to work up a sweat. When your session had finally ended you went back to the locker and pulled out your yoga mat, entering the hall you stayed further back, your yoga skills were not what they once were and you didn't need to be at the front of the class making a fool of yourself.

When the instructor walked into the room you sighed deeply. Where had all the attractive men come from? When you lived here before they never looked this good. That's one of the main reasons that you left Boston. But this guy was beautiful. Hazel eyes, with dark hair that may have been a little long but on him it looked all sorts of right. His body was toned but not too big, but he still looked like he could throw you around in the bedroom if the mood called for it. He was definitely of mixed nationality his skin was tanned but not the orange tan of someone local. He was golden, perhaps he had been made by the gods?

Looking around the room you could see that it was a popular class, now you knew why, maybe in the future you would book onto a class run by a female. Staring at him bending and in inappropriate poses for the next half an hour could make you loose your concentration. As you moved into the intense side stretch pose he began making his way around the room. Praying that he wouldn't stop near you, you closed your eyes to make it seem like you were concentrating. It seemed to work but as you opened your eyes you could see him smirk at you and move onto the next person.

Oh shit he knew I was trying to avoid eye contact.

Finally finishing the class you rolled up your mat and took a quick slurp of your water. Standing you turn towards the exit, only to be greeted by the face that had been carved by angels.

"Hi, your new in my class. I'm Callum." He held out his hand you took it and shook it quickly.

"Nell, I'm new in town. Thought I would give it a try. Great class. See you next week perhaps." You replied quickly and dashed out of the room, a quick glance back confirmed that he watched you leave.

This is not what you needed. First meeting Chris and now the hunky yoga instructor. What was it, as soon as your heart is broken the fittest men start appearing out of no where? Why was this happening? Did I have a neon sign above my head 'heartbroken and vunerable' jesus I needed some girlfriends.

Meeting your Ma and Pa outside the gym with Maple you thanked them and left in the opposite direction to head home for a shower and food. Arriving back at the apartment block you find a familiar truck sitting outside. When you get a little closer out hops a familiar face.

"Chris!" You call out quietly trying not to raise any suspicion.

"Nell, hey, I don't want you to think I'm a crazy stalker or anything but I guess I just wanted to check on you. When I didn't hear anything back yesterday I worried you may of had a concussion or something." He explained seeing the confused look in your expression.

"So you waited until today to check on me?"

"Yeah I guess that was a lame excuse. Sorry. Everything ok though?" At this point Chris has realised Maple is with you and bent down to pet her.

"Yeah I'm sorry I forgot to reply, I was eating with my parents. My Pa is old school he doesn't like phones at the table, by the time I got home I started reading a manuscript and then crashed. Sorry I wasn't ignoring you." You answered.

"It's ok. Been to the gym I see you really are on one aren't you. How was it?" He asks curiously.

"Fine, had a gym session and then done some yoga, safe to say I think I will ache tomorrow." You laugh a little. "So you didn't just come to make sure I had no concussion?"

"No I was wondering if I could tempt you with a dog walk? Maybe a cup of coffee?" Chris asks, he was leaning against his truck now. He was wearing a fitted pair of shorts in navy blue, a grey tee that stretched over his shoulders, a blue cap and glasses. He looked amazing, how could I say no?

"Like a date?" You question.

"Well, I mean it doesn't have to be classed as a date. But if you wanted it to be a date it can be. No its just a coffee and dog walk." Chris stuttered quickly.

He was cute when he was flustered. This wasn't the Chris that scooped you up off the floor and nursed your knee better. He seemed nervous, perhaps a little vunerable.

"I guess you can tempt me into a dog walk. How about tomorrow morning?" You were brazen in your response, maybe hoping that he would be busy. This is not something you were sure your wanted to get into.

"Sounds good. I will meet you in the park shall we say seven? Or is that too early?" he asks.

"Sounds good." You speak for a few more minutes to arrange a meeting place then he says goodbye to Maple, gives you a sweet smile and then climbs into his truck. Walking up the steps to your apartment building you let out a little giggle at the pure insanity of what just happened. Feeling that tomorrow he would likely wake up realise it is a crazy idea and cancel on you.
