As you walk into work the next morning Brad greets you by the door.
"Oh my god Nellie please tell me you have been keeping an eye on your video. Your up to seven million views." Brad explains showing you the video on YouTube.
"Last night I was at five million. This is getting a little out of hand don't you think?" You reply walking into the office, smiling and greeting people as you go.
"Nell, please why are you not more excited about this?" Brad asks joining you in your office.
"I guess I don't really believe its happening until it actually becomes a reality or something a little bigger than a video on the internet." You sit at your desk and throw your head back against the chair giving Brad an exasperated look.
"I can tell your not feeling it today I will see you later." He leaves the office and heads back towards the reception.
Taking a deep breath you begin perusing the emails that you had received over the weekend. Patrick's book tour was almost over and he had some great feedback about the book, everyone was excited about the next book. He had even started on the script for the movie.
Getting on with your work you sit editing a few chapters of a book and try to avoid looking at the comments on the video.

Hey babe just heard from my manager. Jimmy wants you on the show Friday night to air on Saturday. Do you think you will be able to get out of work? Xx
Me-
I can ask Paul he is in today. Will let you know ASAP. Xx
Walking across the office towards Paul's pod you knock and wait patiently for his response. When he is finished on the phone he opens the door and invites you in.
"Morning Nell, everything alright?" He asks.
"Morning Paul, yes all good thank you. I have a few new manuscripts I'm looking forward to reading more of. But that's not why I'm here. Would it be ok to have Friday off please? If you need me to make up the hours I can do that." You ask.
"Don't be silly of course you can. You don't need to make up the hours. You work harder than everyone in here, including me half the time." He jokes. "Is that everything?"
"No, this is a little early but I should probably also tell you that I am pregnant." You respond. He stops what he is doing and looks up at you.
"Well congratulations. We won't be losing you anytime soon will we?" He asks.
"It's still early I'm a few months along but I will still be able to work from home once I've had the baby. Please can we not tell everyone yet?" You reply.
"Of course not. I will of course have to let HR know but just let me know if you need anything. Time off for appointments, longer breaks and we won't have you travelling anymore either." Paul explained.
This went better than you expected. Obviously you hadn't been here long and you were already causing trouble. Paul was being very understanding and helpful however.
"Thanks Paul. Please can you ask HR to keep it to themselves for a little while?" You ask. He nods and you get up from the chair to leave.
Getting back to your office you sit and reply to Chris.
Me-
Hey just spoken with Paul I can have Friday off. Are we going to be able to get a flight this short notice? Xx
