Getting up early the next morning you search your wardrobe for the perfect outfit. You settle upon a black skirt, crisp white shirt and brown jacket. Pairing it all with a little bit of wild leopard print heels.
(This is the outfit)
Packing up your bag you headed for the door with Maple trotting by your side. She was heading off to your parents. It was nice having them close.
Handing her over, your parents wished you good luck and handed you a small bag packed with a muffin that had been sent with them as a good luck from Pete you smiled fondly at the small gesture.
Getting to the office just before nine you walked into the reception to find Brad staring at a huge bunch of white peonies. With a card sticking from the top.
"Morning Nell, these literally just came for you. Who have you impressed already?" He asks swooning over the flowers.
Confused you walked towards the huge arrangement and take the card.
'Good luck on your first day here in Boston. Thanks for the date look forward to more. C x'
Smiling widely at the kind gesture you pick up the arrangement and finally respond to Brad.
"If I told you I would have to kill you." Laughing a little at the comment you made.
"I will get it out of you by the end of the day. Right well let's take you on tour and introduce you to everyone. Come on lovely I can't wait for you to meet everyone." He minces off down the corridor and towards the large room that is surrounded by small little glass fronted offices. Each with a desk outside that housed an assistant at each. Brad takes you first to your office. It was beautifully furnished and was waiting for a little homely touch.
"This is Amelia, she is your assistant and she is also Chloe's she is next door. But she is in late today, she is lovely. You will get on great. Over the other side of the office is April and Kieran. Their assistant is Polly. That's about it. There are a few other people who flit about but we're the most important to know about." He winks at you then saunters over to the kitchen area to grab the people who are there.
They all come over and introduce themselves. They are friendly and funny, they make comments about the embarrassingly huge bunch of flowers.
When everyone finally leaves the kitchen area carrying various cups of coffee and tea you head back towards your office.
Amelia then knocks on the door and asks to have a quick chat with you. You point to the chair in front of you and she takes a seat.
"So I just wanted to give you all of this information. It's the passwords and all you need to know for your computer, any issues just let me know and I can get IT down here for you. You have a whole team meeting at eleven this morning. If you need anything let me know." Amelia said she then stood and worked her way towards the door. "Nell its lovely to have a new face. Welcome to the team." You smile at her and then start trying to get into the computer and access your emails.
Half an hour later the boss comes to your office door holding a large wicker basket that was full to the brim of presents and a huge card.
"Morning Nell this is for you. From the New York team. You left in quite a hurry I understand. All ok with you now?" Paul asked.
"Wow that's really nice of them. Yes I had some personal issues but everything is sorted now and I am moving forward. Thank you for accepting the transfer."
"We're happy to have you, welcome to the team. I will see you at the meeting soon." Paul said, with that he was gone across the office to his own.
You would enjoy it here. Hopefully the team would become your greatest friends, who needed New York?
A ping from your phone unfocus' your attention to the emails you were reading.

Your very welcome. Can I take you on a date? Chris xMe-
I think I can get on board with a date. Let me know what time and where.
Nell xChris E-
Amazing I will let you know. Have a good day speak soon.
Chris xSmiling down at your phone you couldn't help but get butterflies about the up coming date with Chris. Of course you had gotten to know him a little on your walk but there was still so much to learn. It also helped that you really wanted to rip his clothes off.
Still something in you was slightly confused by his advances. You hadn't given him any reason to believe you were interested. You didn't know if you were interested. What are you saying of course you are he is gorgeous, genuine and funny. Not least kind and caring.
He had to know though that things would have to move slow. You had just left New York and Nathan. That was a lifetime of relationship you couldn't get over in a few days.
Another date would be exactly what you needed to know what you wanted from the advances from Chris. Perhaps he didn't want anything too crazy. Maybe you would just be a fling to him. God you were already over thinking everything.
What was wrong with you? Nathan had really screwed with your head. Perhaps it would take you a lot longer to trust anyone again.
Something in Chris made you believe that perhaps you deserved a happy ending. Could you imagine a future with him? Everything felt so natural.
This would be interesting.
