The two weeks in the studio went far too quickly but it stopped you yearning for Chris. Although you had spoke on the phone almost every day and face timed every night it just wasn't the same.

Brad had been spending a lot of time in the evenings with you. Growing closer to each other everyday. He was the best friend you never knew you needed. Someone in your life that really understood you, the small little changes to your expression when you didn't like or agree with something. He could always gage your mood and new exactly what you needed to snap out of it.

Right now it consisted of a lot of sweet things. The craving that you had and even in the middle of the night and you called him to pick something up for you it wouldn't take him long to arrive with a bag full of sweet treats along with his duffel bag of clothes ready to spend the night with you.

A week after you had finished in the studio you received an email from Paul. It was not expected and you sat at your desk reading it. Letting out a loud squeal you stood from your chair and reread the email again.

Before you knew what was happening, Chloe, Brad and Amelia were all standing in your doorway with concerned expression.

"What's happening? Are you alright? Do you need something?" Brad asked in quick concession.

Not being able to speak you pointed at the email and then dragged Brad round your desk to read it. After a few minutes of silence he let out a squeal and pulled you into a hug.

"Will someone please explain what is going on and stop squealing please?" Amelia asked in frustration.

"Nell has a record deal. This album that you have just been recording must be epic. Girl I am so freaking proud of you." Brad pulls you into yet another bear hug. "If you weren't growing another little super star in there we would be painting the town red tonight."

Standing in your little office taking in the moment you wished that Chris was here. That he was with you to take pride in a moment that you never expected to happen.

Knowing that the conversation with Paul about your future with the publishing company was going to be a difficult one you slowly walked towards his office. Waiting for a few minutes outside his office twiddling your thumbs you contemplate your next move.

"Nell come in here stop wearing out the carpet outside my office." Paul calls out to you.

Slowly stepping over the threshold to his office you smile weakly at him.

"Hi." You say quietly.

"Congratulations."

Finally looking up at him you look at him confused.

"Word travels quickly around here. Why were you pacing around outside? Nell I told you that I was here for you whenever you needed." Paul explained. "Are we actually losing you this time?"

Sitting in the seat opposite Paul you smile briefly at him.

"I don't think so, I have only had an email telling me that I've been offered a deal. There is the potential that the album couldn't do well and they could drop me from everything. I don't want to risk my whole career just at the point where it's only an offer." Thinking about what your saying you look at him with wide eyes. "If you want me to leave though I understand. I don't want to be a burden on you."

"Nell don't think for a second that you are a burden on us. You are staying here until your ready to leave. I don't want you to worry, your job is safe here."

You had never worked anywhere that had a boss as kind as Paul. Everything that you had done for the company since you came here it was no surprise that he was more than willing to keep you here until you knew exactly what you next move was.

But what was your next move. Should you continue on with your career in publishing. It had been all you had ever known. Did you really want to throw that all away on a pipe dream?

Hysteria came suddenly from the main office and both you and Paul stood and moved into the spacious area. A familiar voice was playing on the radio and Brad stood next to it and turned it louder.

Your song was being played on the radio. This wasn't real. Paul had mentioned in the email that he was putting the first single out there but this was never something that you imagined happened very quick. Although you already knew that he would be pulling quite a few strings to get you out there.

Everyone stood around ignoring the calls coming through to the office and listening to the song that was booming from the radio. With tears welling in your eyes you again wished that Chris was here to bask in your glory.

Your phone vibrated in your hand and Chris' name popped up on the screen. Answering the call.

"Chris listen." You held the phone out in front of you for a few moments and then held it back to your ear.

"Baby I am so proud of you. I just heard the song on the radio and had to stop make up. When did you hear?" Chris asked.

"Paul emailed this morning telling me I had been offered a deal and that I may start hearing the song on the radio. I thought that I had to accept the offer before the single would go out. This doesn't feel right." You explain.

"I mean it sounds amazing. This is the best thing that could happen. Aren't you excited?" Chris asks.

You were more than excited. Something about everything that was happening right now didn't seem real. Ideally this would have all happened a long time ago when you weren't pregnant. But obviously Nathan would never let that happen. No you would never let that happen. Something always held you back but now that was a thing of the past and you would never doubt yourself again.

"I didn't expect it all to happen this quick, I just wish you were here." You replied after your momentary euphony.

"I wish I was home as well. But it won't be long till I'm home. I miss you so much, I will leave you to celebrate with everyone. I love you." Chris says and with the click of a button he ends the call.

Brad sweeps you up into a hug and then spins you round in a circle.

"Babe this is amazing. You are such a superstar. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album."

The day had gone perfect. The amount of time and patience you put into the album was worth it when you finally heard the song being played on the radio and saw everyone around you enjoying it.

Leaving after work you dropped into the restaurant and was greeted by your Ma and Pa who pulled you into a huge hug. They congratulated you on hearing the song and couldn't wait to hear more.
