Moving around the room you greet your family and friends thanking them for coming and their congratulations on the engagement. Showing off the ring to everyone who wanted to look. Smiling widely and shaking your head when they asked whether you were expecting the proposal.

When you both arrived to Scott and his motely crew you flung your arms around them and kissed them all on the cheek.

"How did you pull this off without slipping up. Especially with this one helping. He normally can't wait to fill me in on gossip." You joked putting your arm around Brad.

"Well it was about time the families came together. We've all made friends and between us managed to pull it off somehow." Scott replied. "Not going to lie it's been tough with that one though."

"Hey I think I've done well. Although I've been trying my hardest to avoid Nell at all cost in case I did let something slip." Brad said squeezing you round the waist in a comforting way.

"Now your extra weirdness makes sense." You reply with a smug look on your face.

You all stand having a laugh and a joke chatting about the proposal. Brad and Mark admired the ring. Scott let slip that he helped pick the ring which made it feel a little more special. You had become closer to Scott since you moved into Chris'.

Kevin, Maggie and Pete had made a beautiful buffet which was going down a treat. Bubbly was flowing which you were trying your hardest to stay away from until Brad forced a glass into your hand and clinked the glass in his own hand.

"Firstly I would like to say a big congratulations to Chris and Nell on the news of their engagement. We can't wait to celebrate your big day with you both. Thank you everyone for coming. Lets celebrate." Everyone claps and cheers.

"Actually Chris and I have something else to add. We are so grateful to everyone for coming to celebrate our exciting news." You beam to the friends and family around you.

"But we have more exciting news to share with you." Chris pauses. Turns to you and grins. "Nell and I are having a baby." A huge cheer erupts from the room. You lean into Chris and kiss him softly on the lips. When you turn back to your friends, Brad is in tears and your friends are surging towards you to embrace you once again.

Brad pulls you in and hugs you.

"This is amazing. I'm so excited for you both." Brad wipes his tears.

"Thank you. It's amazing. Feeling so ill though I'm surprised you hadn't figured it out." You reply grinning.

"I didn't suspect a thing." Brad giggled. "Shows how observant I am really doesn't it."

Everyone showered you again with hugs and congratulations. Chris' sister's couldn't wait for you to become one of the family officially.

"This is amazing. We are so happy for you, happy for you both." They hugged Chris and then turned to you. "Thank you for making him so happy and finally making his dream come true."

Those words filled your heart with joy and anticipation for what the future would hold between you and Chris. Hopefully nothing but amazing things.

The rest of the evening went by in a blur of conversations and hugs from people. You had already asked them to keep the pregnancy a secret for a little while longer so that you had time to announce it on your own terms. You were hoping that you could trust everyone here.

A couple more Monday's passed and it finally came around for your next scan to check everything was okay with the baby.

Laying on the table as the doctor searched for the baby you looked at Chris and smiled.

"So are we finding out the sex of the baby today?" The doctor asked.

"No thank you." You instantly reply. Chris looks at you with wide eyes.

"Are you sure you don't want to find out? Wouldn't it be better?" Chris asks.

"No I think it will be nicer to have a surprise. I don't want to go through all the pain of pushing already knowing what it is. I want you to be the first, well second person to see what we've had, I want you to tell me if we have a son or a daughter." You smile up at Chris.

"That sounds perfect." He replies kissing your forehead. "We're not finding out."

"That's fine, everything is fine with baby, measuring all perfectly. Now are you sure you don't want to find out?" The doctor asked.

"No, no we definitely want a surprise." Chris replied eagerly.

Once you were both home you sat staring at the picture that had been printed. The perfect little picture of the beautiful little boy or girl that you had made.

"Are you okay Nell?" Chris asks.

"I am. I'm just excited already to meet this little person that we are going to have to keep alive." You chuckle at the thought of it all.

"We will be fine." Chris replies. He kisses you but it is cut short because his phone begins to ring. He answers it and then leaves the room.

Sitting in awe staring at the picture you wonder what is happening on the phone. When he finally walks back into the room the smile on his face is stretching from ear to ear.

"Nell you freaking did it. That was my manager." Chris said striding towards you.

"What? What did I do?" You ask slightly confused.

"There is a producer that has seen your videos and he wants to meet with you. He wants to produce an album." He replies.

You let out a small laugh and then look around you.

"What are you looking for?" Chris asks.

"I am looking for the hidden camera's."

"Nell come off it. There are no hidden camera's I'm being completely serious. Why would I wind you up like that? Someone called Paul Epworth? I mean I have no idea who that is. Management seem to think its a good idea though." Chris rambles.

"Did you say Paul Epworth?" You ask standing and looking at Chris with serious eyes.

"Yes. Nell are you alright you've got that odd look in your eye." Chris asks slightly concerned.

"Paul Epworth is the producer of Adele's song Rolling in the Deep. Are you sure that is who she said it was?" You ask a little more serious now.

"It was definitely the name. Should I be freaking out with you right now?" Chris says with his eyebrows raised and a smirk across his face.

"Babe don't take the piss that is a big deal. Shit I don't know if I'm ready for this." You reply sitting back down on the couch.

Chris sits down next to you and takes your hand in his. His kisses it gently then grins widely at you.

"You are so ready and I think the world is more than ready to hear you sing." Chris replies happily.

Everything was happening in the wrong order. You couldn't start working on an album while you were pregnant surely that just didn't make any sense. You wanted to be fully committed to an album, touring and doing all the interviews that you could do that would promote you music. Was this the right thing to be getting excited about right now?

"But is now really the right time. Shouldn't we wait until after we've had the baby? We have so much to do still." You say with slight disappointment.

"Maybe just take the meeting and then see where it goes. We still have a fair few months left till the baby is due. Everyone wants to help out with the nursery. How about we book a shopping trip in the next couple of weeks get started on what we need?" Chris suggests.

Smiling widely at him you lean into him and kiss him deeply. Everything about you and him together made sense. It all seemed to be falling into place.

He always knew how to keep you calm or know exactly what to say. How did he know you so well? Why did it all seem too good to be true? Something was bound to go wrong.
