I heard my mom's bedroom door open. I sighed and stood up. I walked out and met her in the hallway.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have acted that way at the restaurant. I probably gave Jeff the wrong impression. Tell him I'm sorry," I said.

"That's not gonna work this time," Mom said, pushing past me. I groaned and followed her down the stairs.

"Mom, please. I need to meet someone before school starts," I begged. She sighed.

"I'll think about it, okay?!" Mom said, obviously getting annoyed, waving her hand.

"Okay," I said, turning around and walking back up the stairs.

I rolled around in my bed for hours, probably. I groaned as my phone buzzed.

Jeremy- Tell me you're ungrounded.

Me- Hahaha. No.

Jeremy- That's stupid. She's stupid.

Me- Yeah and you get to live with her in what, two days...?

Jeremy- You're stupid too.

Me- Back at cha.

I put my phone down and rolled over. Mom opened the door. "Are you just going to lay there all day?"

"Probably. It's not like I can go anywhere," I sighed, sitting up. She made a face and shut my door. I rolled my eyes and grabbed my earbuds from under my bed. Mom busted back in my room.

"Let's go," she said, waving. I raised an eyebrow.

"Where?" I asked.

"We're meeting Jeff for lunch again," she said, smiling. I sighed and stood up.

"Is Jeremy going to be there?" I asked casually.

"Why?" she asked, I shrugged. Because if he's not, I'll probably shoot my brains out.

"Just wondering," I said, slipping on my vans.

"Maybe. I'm not sure," Mom said, leaving my room.

I met her in the car. I went to put my earbuds in, when she grabbed my arm and handed me the aux cord. I smirked slightly. I knew exactly what I was about to play.

"You sure?" I asked her. She nodded and started backing the car out of the garage. I couldn't hide my evil smirk.

I played "Family Reunion" by Blink-182.

Sh*t, p*ss, f**k, c*nt, c**ksucker, motherf**ker, t*ts, fart, turd, and t*at

Mom glared over at me. I smiled. "Change this now!" she yelled. I laughed and changed it to "What's My Age Again?"

We finally made it to a restaurant just as No Cigar by Millencolin ended. Mom jumped out happily. I sighed and slowly followed her. She busted through the door. I've never been here before, so I ended up bumping into everything, and everyone, on the way in.

I got to the table to see that Jeff and my mom were on one side. I sat down and moved over to the wall, slightly disappointed Jeremy wasn't here. Shut up, you barely know that guy.

I looked down at my phone in my lap when I felt someone sit next to me. I looked up to see Jeremy. I tried to hide my smile. "Sorry. I was in the bathroom," Jeremy said, looking down at his hands on the table.

"It's fine," Mom said. I stared at my phone before I heard my mom clear her throat. I looked up at her. "Put your phone away. Talk to Jeff."

"Hi, Lendzie," Jeff smiled as I sat my phone down on the table. I forced a slight smile.
