Chapter 76

"J-" I began as Jeremy stared up at me.

"Will you marry me?" He held out a ring.

I gasped, my eyes wide. "Jeremy... Yes!" I jumped at him and he toppled over backwards. I laid with my back on his chest, he slid the ring on my finger. "I think my heart stopped," I said quietly. Jeremy laughed softly and wrapped his arms around me. I held onto his wrists.

"I love you," he said after a while.

"I love you too." I smiled, feeling tears coming to my eyes. "Jeremy.. I'm crying." I sniffled.

"I am too," Jeremy answered softly. He spread his legs out and wrapped them around mine.

"What are you doing?" I laughed.

"I dunno," Jeremy answered. "All I really know is that I love you.... and that me and guys are making an EP.."

"What?!" I yelped. "That's amazing!"

"I know." I could hear him smile.

"I'm so happy for you guys."

"We've only played like three shows, but.." He shrugged. "I want to write music."

"Yeah, I get it." I knocked his legs off of me and rolled over to face him.

"I'll be spending a lot of my extra time on it." He frowned at me.

"That's okay." I nuzzled into his chest.

"I figured you might get lonely." He frowned again.

"I'll be okay." I let out somewhat of a sad smile.

"Ay, Neil!"

"Wh-?" I began. Jeremy rolled me over and held me to the floor while the door opened. Jeremy stood up quickly and the next thing I knew, my face was getting wet.

Jeremy laughed softly as I struggled to get whatever was licking me off of me. Jeremy helped me, so finally I could sit up. "Jeremy..."

"I know how much you miss Lola.." he began, setting a dog in my lap.

"J-"

"I know you like cats, but I hate hair..." He sat next to me in the floor.

"I love it," I whispered, petting the now yawning puppy.

"Him." Jeremy smiled. I smiled and pulled him closer to me.

"Kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!" Neil chanted.

Jeremy pressed his lips to mine and I felt his hand make a middle finger behind my back. Neil chuckled.

"What are you gonna name him?" Jeremy asked. I looked down at the dog.

"What should we name him?" I leaned into Jeremy. "Something.... weird."

"Zenki," Jeremy suggested.

"Like.. the Japanese thing?"

"Yeah. It means demon child. He bit me when I picked him out." Jeremy laughed softly. I smiled.

"Zenki it is." I kissed the puppy's head.

-~2 months later-

"Lendzie!" Jeremy shouted, running down the hallway. Zenki started barking and stepping on my feet from the end of the bed.

"Lendzie!" Kevin shouted, jumping in the bed next to me. I opened my eyes as Neil jumped on top of him.

"Lendzie! Guess what!" Neil smiled. Josh pushed Kevin in the floor.

"Lendzie!" Alex yelped, climbing over Neil.

"What?!" I yelled.

"We finished the EP!" all five of them yelled.

"What?! Really?" I sat up. Jeremy picked me up and carried me down the hall, into the living room. He dumped me on the couch and grabbed a CD case from the TV stand. He put it in the CD player, pressed play, and sat down. He pulled me in his lap as it started.

After it ended, everyone turned and looked at me. I broke into a smile. "I want it," I said.

"We have a crapload of copies," Neil said. I buried my head into Jeremy's chest.

"I'm so proud of you guys." I laughed. Jeremy smiled and hugged me closer.

"I couldn't have done it without you," he whispered.

"Why?" I blinked sleepily.

"You're my inspiration," Jeremy said.

"Awwww," Neil cooed.

"Neil, shut up!" Jeremy sighed.

"Sorry."

-Later that night-

"Lendzie... you're sure...?" Jeremy seemed reluctant. I smirked and knocked the box out of his hand. He took a deep breath.
