"Get up," Jeremy groaned. I sighed and pushed my head deeper into his chest. "Come on. Let's not be rushed today," he said, getting up.

"No. I'll just lay here.." I sighed. Jeremy sighed and slid back in next to me.

"A few more minutes can't hurt," he yawned.

-

"SHIT! GET UP!" Jeremy yelled, grabbing me and standing up with me in his arms.

"HOLY CRAP, PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled. He put me down.

"We have fifteen minutes," he said, hurrying to the bathroom. I quickly ran down the stairs and grabbed two packets of poptarts.

We live off of poptarts.

I ran back up the stairs as I ate and heard Jeremy cut the water off. I knocked on the door. "Food."

"Access granted," Jeremy said, opening the door and handing me a towel. I dried his hair and his back while he ate. He took the towel and tossed it in the laundry. "Run along." He shooed me out.

I quickly changed and was pulling my shirt down as he came out.

He shoved me down the stairs after we grabbed our shoes. "Gooooo!" he groaned.

"I'm going, jeez!" I sighed. We ran out the front door while putting our shoes on at the same time.

"I'm sorry I shoved you," he said, sounding guilty.

"Why?" I asked. "It's not like you made me fall down the stairs or anything."

"I know, but it just isn't right. I shouldn't have shoved you," Jeremy said, grabbing my hand.

I looked down at our hands. "It's fine."

"Why is your hand sweating?" he asked.

"Because it's hot out here."

"It's only like eighty-five."

"So?" I shrugged. He let go of my hand and wiped the sweat off of his hand. I sighed slightly at the loss of contact.

"Aww. I heard that," he smiled. "You want me to hold your hand!?"

"What..?"

"I heard you sigh." He smirked.

"Just hold my hand," I sighed, holding out my hand. He intertwined our fingers.

"Why?" he asked, leaning on my shoulder.

I took a deep breath and looked at the ground. "Because I really like you," I confessed. I felt his weight leave my shoulder.

I finally found the strength to look up at him. His face seemed... guilty?

"What?" I asked softly.

"I like you too," he said. I smiled slightly.

"Don't let that change anything. We're still friends right?" I asked. "I don't wanna dump you on the sidewalk."

"You want a lover, you want a friend, baby I can be both of them," he smiled, leaning over to kiss me on the nose.

I smiled at the reference, and blushed at the kiss. "We can stick with friend for right now."

"Friends don't hold hands," he said, dropping my hand.

"Yes, they do." I reached for his hand.

"Girls don't hold hands with their guy friends." He shook his head, moving his hand away.

I stuck out my bottom lip and he smiled. "God, you're adorable," he said as he offered his hand. I locked our fingers together while smiling.
