Chapter 66

"Can I talk to Jeremy for a second?" Gavin asked. Jeremy looked confused.

"Uhh.. sure.." I raised an eyebrow. "But, why..?"

"I need to talk to a male," Gavin said quietly. Jeremy nodded slowly and got up.

"What's up..?" Jeremy asked once they were in the hallway with the door three-fourths of the way shut.

"C-can she hear us..?" Gavin asked.

"Yeah, probably," Jeremy responded, leading him down the stairs.

I tried to hear what they were saying, but it was no use. They were way too far away. I couldn't even hear the general sound of talking.

I silently waited for Jeremy to come back. Constantly thinking- what could they be talking about..? I mean... why does he need to talk to a guy..?

Eventually, Jeremy came back. He dropped his shorts and climbed back in next to me.

"What did he want?"

"Guy stuff," Jeremy responded.

"What kind of guy stuff..?"

"If I told you it would defeat the whole purpose of him asking me instead of you in the first place."

"Okay..?"

"Lendzie, I'm not telling you," he said.

"Why?"

"Because he asked me not to." I sighed. Jeremy doesn't seem like one to break promises. "You know I don't break promises. I said I'd never let you go, and I never did."

"Yeah.." I nodded.

"Get uuuuhhh-p!" Jeremy groaned. I sighed and shook my head. "I think it's like Wednesday. I don't even know," Jeremy said.

He pushed his lips to mine and pulled me out of the bed.

"Josh.." I tapped his shoulder. He looked at me. "What the hell is wrong with you?"

"I'm gay."

"I know that," I said.

"I know," he said.

"Then what's wrong?"

"Stop talking!" Mrs. Simmons yelled.

"I'm gay," Josh repeated.

"I know! That's not answering my question." Josh sighed. "Are you like attracted to Jeremy or something?"

"No!"

"Then-"

"I'm not gay for Jeremy. I just... I don't know."

"Uhh..?"

Josh didn't offer an explanation, he quickly went back to his work. I glared at him for a while before moving on.

"Josh."

"Leave me alone."

"Jo-"

"Leave me the fuck alone!" he yell-whispered. "I don't love Jeremy."

"I know but-"

"Shut up," he snapped.

"Josh.." I whispered his name multiple times but he didn't respond.

Lunch was awkwardly silent since we'd lost Josh and Alex. Alex still hung out with his friends he'd made during his time away from us.
