Neil walked in. "JEREMY! GET YOUR FUCKFACE DOWN HERE!"

No response.

"JEREMY!" Neil yelled, jogging up the stairs. Our bedroom door was shut and locked. Neil looked at me. I jumped on his back and got the key. I slid down his back and handed him the key.

Neil unlocked the door and opened it to reveal Jeremy on the bed, red faced with tears basically forming rivers down his face.

"WHY WOULD YOU CHEAT ON ME?!" Jeremy sobbed.

"I-I didn't." Tears started to blur my vision.

"Yes, you did!" I stepped closer to him. "GET AWAY!"

"JEREMY, YOU FUCKING IDIOT! SHE HATES JAMES WITH EVERY BONE IN HER BODY AND YOU'RE SAYING SHE FUCKED HIM!? ARE YOU DUMB? SHE COULD BE PREGNANT WITH YOUR CHILD AND YOU'RE GONNA THROW HER OUT OF HER OWN HOUSE?! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Neil yelled, slamming the bed with his fist.

"She told you.." Jeremy choked.

"Yeah... She told me," Neil stood up straight.

"God. I'm dumb," Jeremy said, putting his head down. "She didn't cheat on me.."

"No, she didn't. You didn't even ask her first."

"He did," I whispered, "but he thought I lied."

"You've got to be a stupid motherfucker to think she cheated with the kid that picks on her all the time," Neil said.

"I know," Jeremy whined. "Lendzie.." he finally looked at me. "Could you ever forgive me?"

I was silent for a while.

"Jeremy.. I don't want to forgive you this easily, but I can't live without you." I met his gaze. He stood up and walked up to me slowly.

Jeremy pressed his lips to mine. His lips were salty from all of his tears. His body shook, he lifted a hand and rested it on my cheek. "I'm.. so fucking sorry."

"You're stupid," I mumbled.

"I know," he said as another tear rolled down his cheek.

"I don't know why I don't want to punch you."

"You could punch me if you want," he shrugged. "I deserve it." I punched him in the nose. "OW. YOU WEREN'T ACTUALLY SUPPOSED TO DO IT!" Jeremy whined, holding his nose.

"You deserved it," Neil said.

"Neil.. thank you," I said.

"For what?"

"You made me come here and talk to him," I said. "I would've never came near him without you," I whispered.

"See?" Neil whispered.

"See what?" I whispered.

"My benefit.. and yours," he smiled, backing out of the room.

"Ohhh," I whispered. I turned back to Jeremy. "I've never seen you cry before," I whispered.

"Yes, you have," he sniffed.

"When?" I asked.

"When I told you my mom died."

"That didn't count. It was one tear." He sniffed again.

"I'm so sorry," Jeremy said, letting the tears roll down his face.

"You could've at least listened to me first!" I shouted.

"I know." He sobbed, "I can't believe I almost let the one thing I love slip out of my hands."
