VII: Floodgates!

"Did you guys hear that?" Said Leah. "That scream of agony....you don't think it could be.."

"Shard? We must be getting close now!" Said Pierce. Leah, Sky, and Pierce were in the dark prison now. It had torches on the walls and some grass and trees growing from the cracks in it. This prison must have been here for a very long time.

Leah, Pierce, and Sky walked down the hallway of the entrance. There was no prisoners out here, which means that they were nowhere near the base, where the girls were positive Shard was. As they descended, they noticed that there was blood on the floor, in small stains.

"Could a prison riot have happened here?" Said Sky.

"How? Its Shard's mind. Who would be prisoned here?" Said Pierce. "Anger for setting joy on fire? Please..." Leah and Sky laughed. It wasn't logical that enough prisoners could be stationed down here. Then again, the girls always said that Shard had a big head with only hot air in it.

"Maybe that girl was a prisoner here, escaped, and wanted revenge on Shard.." said Sky. "I don't want to think about anyone hurting Shard.."

"Hopefully we'll find him before that girl gets to him.." said Pierce. "Look over there. What is that?" Pierce was looking at a destroyed prison cell, as if someone destructively escaped from it.

"Oh dang...could that have been...Alice II?"

"They're getting close...too close."

Alice II was in the security room, an unconscious Shard tied up in a chair next to hers. She looked at the three girls, then at Shard. "So, these girls are your saviors, eh?" She said. "Well, they'll have to save themselves first." Alice pressed a button, setting off the prison's security system. The halls started to fill with water.

"This is insane!" Said Sky. "We're gonna drown!"

"Not if I can help it!" Said Leah. "We're saving my brother!!!" Leah used her ice magic to freeze the water around them. The ice made the flow of remaining water also freeze, creating hills and lands of ice. "Yes!"

The ground began to shake. Then there was a loud yelling sound. It was most likely Shard.

"Leah," Pierce said. "You gave him brain freeze!" It had completely slipped Leah's mind that they were in Shard's head.

"Heh, sorry Shard!" Leah said. They looked at the dark door on the other side of room. It was frozen solid. Leah melted all the ice, and the three girls waded towards it. When they got to the door, Sky charged up her pure energy and punched the door down. The lowest floors were down here.

There were brief flashes of light on the lowest floor. "That has to be Shard!" Said Sky. "Let's go!!" The girls slid down the ladders and ran towards the cells on the bottom floor, when they ran into an enemy. It was Alice II.
