The City of Darkness

XXV: Rails!

Shard, Lxve, and Alice II blasted through the woods at high speed, swinging through the trees and jumping over boulders. Soon, they found the train tracks that Alex was using. They saw the train pass by at high speed and jumped on in the back.

"How long is this death trap?" Shard said.

"Unbelievably, 20 miles." Alice II said.

"Well, that's fan-fucking-tastic!!" Lxve said.

"Don't complain, sis."

"Whatever, let's go!" Shard said. The three ran from train to train, through hundreds of cars until they finally came to Alex a few cars near the front. They opened the door to see Alex sitting in one of the train's seats. Shard clenched his teeth. "Where is Sky?"

"Hold on a minute, hotshot." Alex said. "Heh. I didn't think anyone of you could catch u to me. I'm impressed." Alex looked at Alice II. "Having fun being a traitor?" Alice II growled and drew her scythe. "Whoa, hostile. Anyway, I suggest you surrender. I don't want things to get ugly."

"You'll be ugly when we're done with you!!!" Lxve said.

"Okay then, let's see what you got!" Shard ran forward and slashed at Alex, who blocked the attack with his gloves. Alex punched Shard with his stone gloves, knocking him back.

Lxve jumped over Shard and shot a barrage of attacks at Alex with her machine gun, the bang of the bullets echoing in the train. Alex ducked and dodged, moving around really fast. Lxve followed him with her bullets, making tons of holes in the train's windows.

She finally got Alex, who was shot in the foot. He fell, but quickly got back up and threw a boulder at Lxve. She created a steel shield that the boulder rolled over, making the boulder go out the hole filled window. Alice II tripped Alex with her scythe and Shard used his arm cannon to blast Alex in the face. A large explosion erupted, and when the dust cleared, Alex had a boulder ready in his hands.

He aimed it at Alice II and Lxver-Chan, and threw it. It rocketed towards them at high speed, but it never hit them. The three looked around as to where the boulder went, and saw a gaping hole in the train. Also, Shard was missing, so it was safe for Lxve and Alice II to presume that Shard deflected the boulder to hit him, causing him to fall into the inky black darkness.

"Shard!" The girls said as Alex laughed super (and annoyingly) loudly.

Shard was being flung back, still in midair due to the train's speed combining with his launch speed. His wings were useless, he wouldn't be able to control his flight. Suddenly, he saw a bright light and shielded his eyes. "What the....?"

Alice II and Lxve stared at Alex, who had an evil smile on his face. He prepared another boulder and pointed it at the two. The girls got up and raised their weapons, and ran straight into battle, angry and deadly.
