Thank you for 10k!!!!

Sorry for the mistakes.

Thursday, May 8th

"I don't see why we can't be friends" he shrugged

"Because it's weird" I insisted

"How?"

I looked at him concerningly before turning to Miss. Margaret, for help.

"Please explain to him why we can't and why I don't want to be his friend," I groaned irritably.

We've only been in this meeting for 10 minutes and I was already annoyed; Zyaire came in here with damn near a full PowerPoint on why I should be his friend. Claiming that I only talk to him when it's circumstantial, which is true, but I don't see a reason as to why we have to be all buddy-buddy. Other than business, there's nothing I need to talk to him about.

"I don't think you want me in this one" Mrs. Margaret spoke breaking my trance

"What? Why?" I was confused. "Do you agree with him?"

"Yes," she sighed. " What would you call what you two are doing right now?"

"I don't know, but it's sure as hell not a  friendship," I shrugged leaning back into the sofa

"Why do you say that?"

"Shit ion know, maybe because she can't keep her hands to herself," he beat me to answer her question, wearing a smug smile on his face

"Lie again," I straight-faced him.

"Are you interested in being his friend?" she asked disregarding our banter

"No, not really" I answered truthfully

"So, why are you here? Why come here if you have no intention of having any sort of personal relationship with him?"

Sitting in silence, I tucked my bottom lip in my mouth. "I'm here for me," I said nonchalantly. "I've come to realize that I'm not as ok with everything as I've tried to be,"

Catching on to what I meant, she nodded her head and wrote something down before looking back up at us.

"Do you feel like you need to go over the whole process of dealing with it again?"

"No, not necessarily. I just think that, although I talked to you about it, he should've been the one who I went through it with," I explained

"I understand," she nodded, writing something in her notepad

Zyaire

"Hold, on. What are we talking about," I asked, confused, drawing their attention over to me

"We'll get to that. Later" Mrs. Margaret responded

" Now, back to your discussion about "friendship," she encased the term with air quotes. " Friendship is built on trust, which you two lack; yet if you want to try, you'll need to stop the flirting and inappropriate touching. No form of intimacy. "

'I can do that' I thought once she finished

"And as for you, You've agreed that you wouldn't be intimate with him again, that's the solution to the only problem y'all have. If you both can live by those rules, I see no reason why you can't  be 'friends." She placed air quotes around the word again as she spoke to Alex

"That's fine," she mumbled

"Are you sure that's what you want?" Miss Margaret looked over at me with a skeptical look on her face
