'She's back..'

POV | Ryujin

I stared at my ex-girlfriend, not knowing what to think, what to feel, or what to do.

"Ten years.." Suddenly came out of my mouth.

Yeji looked at the ground, "Hello to you too Ryujin."

I took a deep breath, grabbing out a cigarette and l lit it up.

"You haven't changed those habits huh?" Yeji says with a little chuckle, standing next to me.

We were on our the street, it was late at night, Korea was shutting it's lights off. "Why are you here.." The emotion and anger in my voice could be heard.

"Care to grab a soju and talk?" The older's voice matured so much. It was hard to even recognize her, well the only way I could was because of those cat eyes I once admired.

"I don't drink..." I heaved out smoke, looking away. I did drink, just.. not at this time. And especially not with her. It was freezing outside, and I hated the cold feeling between us, the tension.

"You don't?" She sounded a little confused. Well it was true I used to drink A LOT during our relationship but when she left, it just died down. But there was some days where I'd get wasted at a bar, thinking about her beautiful face.

But.. It's been ten years, I've been waiting ten years for her to come back. I never expected it though, it's just.. other relationships never worked out, because all I had my mind on was Yeji. I felt like my heart was empty and she had the spot.

"But.. I will.. make some exceptions.." I burned out my cigarette, throwing it on the ground. I could feel her stare on me. I hated it, but I once loved it. I looked at the ground, walking with her, our footsteps hitting the snow were the only sound to be heard.

We were now in a bar, sitting across from each other, drinking our sojus. "Now answer my question, why are you here?"
Yeji tilted her head, saying softly, "Why do you think I am?"

"Shouldn't you be with that husband of yours?" I hissed while saying it because I hated a word in that sentence. I didn't answer her question either because I didn't feel like it.

"It never happened," Yeji says, taking another sip, and looked away, leaving my mind racing with questions. Didn't.. her family have her arranged to a man to marry? Isn't that why she moved across the world? Isn't that why we departed?

"Then why the fuck are you sitting here with me right now?" I spit, being pissed off.

"I came back home.." Yeji says, looking at me.

I slammed my arms on the table, "Why are you here with me?!! It's a simple question!"

"Like you didn't want to see me." Yeji glared, looking at the other people since they were looking at us.

"Let's put it this way, how did you find me?" I asked, softening my tone a bit, but keeping my emotion. I could barely look the girl in the eye.

"The first thing I wanted to do when I came home, was to find you, and to be honest, I had no clue it was you standing out there. And you know it's very dangerous to be out on that street late, that's where most the crimes happen."

My heart fluttered a little bit when I heard that she wanted to find me but still felt hurt. I sighed, "Then why were you on that street?"

"A friend told me where your apartment was so I was making my way there, geez Ryu calm down, I just got back this morning." Yeji took another sip.
