Josephine
As I'm getting ready for school, I place on a light blue loose skirt then goes mid down my thighs and a white sweater top, basically opposite of my outfit yesterday and I curl my hair. I can't get yesterday out of my mind, how he pushed us into the bathroom and kept coming closer, and closer, and closer and clos-
"Josephine! Come on you're going to be late." my mother shouts upstairs catching me out of my daze.
I walk downstairs as my father is shaking his head at me, mostly disapproving of my outfit. I just sigh as it's a daily occurrence at this point.
I get into my mother's car and she scoffs, "What?" I ask. "I just can't believe you're wearing that to school. All the guys are going think as you as a slut or something, when you're far from that Josephine so why would you wear that?" she says pulling up to the school. I feel the tears forming in my eyes and I push my lips together and nod getting out of the car and shutting it. I walk to the door Mercy and I usually meet at everyday to see if she will come, will she? Right now all I need is my best friend. After standing here for about two minutes, Mercy slowly walks up to me. "Hey," she forms a slight smile. "I didn't think you'd come wait for me." she admits.
"Me neither, but all I need is my best friend right now." I admit and she pulls me into a hug and I almost let all the sobs escape from my lips but I stop myself. "You okay?" she rubs my shoulders.
"I'm perfectly okay." I sigh letting out a deep breath. "Jo?" she questions. "I'm okay." I smile. "Let's go to class." I say and she nods awkwardly as we walk in the school. We say our goodbyes and I walk into history and sit down in my seat. Hero walks in right after me and he's wearing a white shirt, black jeans and chains along with his hair gelled and a strand of it laying on his forehead. Damn, he looks good. After admiring him for a second and he's about to say something I hear a voice pop in front of my desk, "Hey Jo," Jack says which catches me out of my daze and I see Hero's jaw clench in the corner of my eye. "Hey," I lean up on my palms confused as he's not even in this class. "Soooo, I was wondering if I can take you out to lunch tomorrow?"
"Well, yeah." I say and his eyes go wide. "Yeah?" he looks happy and I smile. "Of course, I can just you know 'go to the library'." I laugh and he chuckles. He starts walking backwards smiling and yells, "I'll text you Langford." and he walks out of class as I shake my head smiling as I open my notebook. "You look happy." Hero says and I look at him then back to my notebook. "I am, I guess." I lean up on my palm. "Sad you have to lie to dear old dad and dear old mommy?" he says and my face falls in disgust at his words, "I don't know who pissed you off, but don't take it out on me." I roll my eyes and look back down at my journal. "No one pissed me off, I'm just saying won't you? They wouldn't like knowing you went out with a guy when you said you'd be going to the library huh?" he says and I roll my eyes not looking at him. "Wouldn't they?" he adds.
"Yea, they wouldn't like it." I say lifting up my pen in the air then putting it back down. "Now leave me alone and stop asking stupid questions which you most likely know the answer too." I say. "Damn, someone's in a fucking bad mood." he scoffs tapping his pen on the desk. "Am not."
"Are so." he says.
I roll my eyes, "Is it cause of yesterday?" he whispers and I squirm in my seat of memories of what happened pops into my mind. "It meant nothing." he says and I lean back as the teacher walks in about to start a lesson. What a dick.
The rest of the school day was nothing crazy or fun, just a normal day. Lunch was a little awkward but it was okay, no one else knew what happened to me which was a total relief on he did it on his own and I'm glad he doesn't go here or else Hero would most likely beat him up, which I don't need. Why would I care anyways? He can do whatever he wants and so can I, I don't need to worry about him at all, if he gets in trouble that's on him.
