Thursday passed, It wasn't a hard day. It was an easy class day and just an easy day in general. Mercy and I went out to dinner after cheer then I went home and went straight to sleep. Life has been so tiring and so stressful recently. Then of course, I saw Hero in the hallway before history. Ally was trying to kiss him and was all over him. The only thing he did was squeeze her ass when she pushed herself against him and kept pulling his lips. I guess they didn't kiss but but still she was still doing all that. If he had time and the bell didn't ring he most likely would of taken her right there. Kat left in the morning because mom didn't know she stayed over, then my dad came home. I got told he went to a business meeting out of town and mom was just picking him up...when actually she was looking for him. Kath doesn't care anymore, she texted me this morning, which is now friday, asking about my day yesterday and now I'm in the locker room about to practice and then the list of who made the team will be out. I just noticed but I never really have noticed this until now is that right on the field next to us the football players are practicing. I have to go to Hero's house to study after this and he told me he'd just take Mercy and I both to his house, well her house to after tryouts today. I change into Mercy's really damn short shorts and a pink school logo shirt. I pull my curly blonde hair into a ponytail and meet Mercy outside.

"Ready?" she says to me as we are stretching. "Always." I say. My mom did actually text me good luck when I told her I was going to the tryouts about 10 minutes ago, so that I guess made me happy. Hero and I didn't talk in school and the same thing happened with Ally was trying to bite his lip again but he wasn't really touching her, he looked more annoyed then turned on. We haven't texted since last night, when he texted me goodnight. I obviously said goodnight back but shouldn't he be texting his practically... girl friend? Ally?

This tryouts I've worked my butt off, trying my best and doing my best. I have a feeling I'm going to make it. "Alright Ladies," Couch Maya says. "This is the list of who made it, and also the captain and co-captain are on the paper as well, so I will hang the paper up..in one second." she says as the football coach and all the players come over and they are looking tired and sweaty with their helmets in their hands.

Not even noticing them I'm just smiling to myself then I see Hero running his hand through his messy hair with his helmet in his other hand and my knees go weak. He looks so good. What is wrong with me?

"Alright, sorry I was talking to Coach Flem, here is the sign of who made it." Coach Maya says and tapes the paper on the brick wall and goes over to talk to the football coach and I see Hero running towards the paper as I and the rest of the girls are. I run towards it and hear gasps and yells and sighs then I push someone's shoulder and look at my name as I made and and I'm CO-CAPTAIN! I look over next to me and suddenly Hero's next to me looking at the paper as well.

"Oh my god!" I yell and he looks at me with a huge smile and his eyes wide. "Jo! You made it!" he says placing his arms out dropping his helmet and I guess gesturing for a hug? Around his whole team and all the girls? I don't care I'm to happy right now to even care so I run in his arms and wrap my arms around his neck and he lifts me up and spins me. Then he drops me and my smile somewhat fades at the loss of contact but also my eyes are still smiling as he just hugged me and did THAT in front of everyone! I push a piece of loose hair behind my ear as he's just looking at me with a smile. "Look at that Langford, you made it and your co-captain." he laughs looking down then back to me. "I know! I know! Oh my gosh! I'm so happy..I don't even know what to do..." I begin before Jack walks over. "Congrats, Jo!" he yells gesturing for a hug so I go in for a hug but it's just a normal hug. "I'm so happy for you, we should celebrate!" he says and I look at Hero then back to him. "I wish I could, but I sadly can't! Thank you so much though." I smile. "One of these days next week," he winks and I nod and Hero's jaw stiffens, "Mercy!" I say and turn next to me to look for her and she's walking over. "I didn't make it." she says and I pull her into a hug. She doesn't look upset..or sad. If anything, she looks happy. "I'm so sorry, I need to fix something, there has to be something wrong-" I begin. "No! Stop, Jo! I don't even care! I did this because you wanted to and you did it! And I couldn't be more happier for you!" she says laughing and my jaw just drops and then she pulls me into a hug. Congrats are spread around and so are laughs and high fives.
