22. Explanation

Delaney's Pov:

I sat on the water tower with Michael next to me. I knew we weren't leaving until I told him everything that happened. It is so vivid in my head but putting it into sentences seemed so hard. It's not even what he did it's what he said. I usually don't let peoples opinions and words get to me but it hurt hearing him say it. I don't want to be here all day so I might as well start telling.

"You really want to know what happened?" I asked before starting. "I told you we're not leaving till you tell me." "Yesterday Madison asked me if I wanted to go to a party and I obviously said yes. I thought it would be good for me because Collin never let me go to parties or anything like that. When we got out of the car I started to get anxious but she assured me it was fine and if I didn't want to go in we didn't have to. I insisted we go in so she could have a good time. We walked to the kitchen and I saw my friends and she saw hers. She promised herself and me she wouldn't drink so she could drive us back home. I promised myself I wouldn't drink to the point where I would say or do anything I regret. I told her to go have fun because I was just talking with Kai, Lana, and Liv. So she did that but she wasn't gone for to long before she came back and that's when things started getting messy. Ben the school's known player and somehow basketball team captain starting getting way to close to Lana. She quickly shoved him off. Then this dumbass goes on to the next girl which was Liv and got way to close to her. She also shoved him off. Then this dickhead goes to the next girl which was me. He started to get to close and Madison came next to me and put her arm around me. He quickly took notice and asked, 'Who are you?' and she was quick to answer. She said, 'Oh. I'm her girlfriend, so I would appreciate it if you would get off her.' He-" 

"Don't just go on with your story like she didn't just say what she said," Tommy said interrupting me. "She was just saying it to protect me." "Yeah right." 

"Now let me get back to what I was saying before you rudely interrupted me. He looked at Madison like a food he just threw up. Then he got close to my face and whispered something that I can't repeat. I felt like I was about to cry. Madison pushed Ben to the ground and he made a loud ass thud. She then told him, 'I told you to back off nicely, but you didn't. Now you can choose what you want, me to punch you and beat you into a bloody pulp or you apologize to Anna and her friends and leave and stop treating women like your little puppets.' He got up from the ground and looked at Mads and said, 'Why don't you and your bitch leave along with her bitch friends.' I'm gonna guess she didn't like what he said because she pushed him to the ground again and starting punching him in the face with a reason for each punch. Every punch was for a girl he screwed around with that didn't want it or lost their virginity to him because he lied to them and said he loved them. At this point a crowd had formed around Madison and Ben. I'm sure that someone was talking a video of the fight and was gonna send it to the school tea page on insta and I'm sure that their gonna post it. She got off him once she was done naming reasons. His friends tried to help him get up but that didn't work out so they just dragged his ass away. Madison turned back to me and I ran into her arms crying. She drove me home and she stayed the night. Then I woke up a few hours ago and saw her knuckles and everything came back to me and I knew I wouldn't be able to fall back asleep. So I came here. There was another kid here and we talked for a few minutes. He asked for my number too before he left." "Did you give it to him?" Tommy asked.  "Yeah he seemed nice." "What was his name?" "Elijah I think." " I already don't trust him." "You don't know him." "Ok and. He sounds like an asshole. Did he mostly talk about himself and not let you talk that much." "Yeah. I mean kinda." "Yup. He is a self absorbed asshole." "You don't know him so." "Whatever. Let's get going Madison is probably worried we've been here for 2 hours." 

We both got in our cars and quickly made it home.
