Haven's POV:

2 months later:

It's been about 2 months since I kicked Harry out of my apartment. In those 2 months I've seen him five times and spoken to him twice. . . .when he handed me my paychecks.

I tried apologizing but he didn't give me the time and always made up excuses about business that he needed to attend to.

I'm trying not to take offence to it because I know what I did. But 2 months is a long time.

He hasn't been rude but something is off about him. He's barely at the restaurant and when he is he spends 99% of his time holed up in his office.

He probably doesn't notice my stares but I see his busted hands, the occasional bruising on his face and the splits in his lips and eyebrows. I can't help but think of the worst, making up scenarios in my head pertaining to what could have caused that damage. More like whose face caused that damage.

I don't like how things are right now. Thankfully nothing changed between Liam, Maya, and I besides the small detail that Maya can have the baby any day now.

Although our conversations were limited from the start and our interactions were few and far between I liked how I felt around Harry.

I enjoyed the way his touch lit something in me and I felt my stomach turn into a butterfly sanctuary or the way his stare would make me flush a shade so bright I didn't know a brown person was capable of. I missed it all. The small things that I looked forward to but after my fuck up sadly no longer came.

I can't blame him. For all I knew he was just very busy and genuinely couldn't talk. . .but we both know that's not true.

After I came to my senses and the unnecessary guilt slowly washed away I realized what had happened. I kissed someone and considering my track record my reaction was bound to happen. Whether it was the second after or a year later it was inevitable.

It was the days after that I started to truly feel bad. He took care of me, comforted me, and talked me through it only for me to kick him out not an hour after I woke up.

I wasn't the only one vulnerable that night. He didn't open up about his past or talk about his own experiences but he showed he cared. He showed he was capable of that and I can tell it isn't something he shows willingly. And what did I do? I threw it back in his face without as much as a thank you.

He didn't have to stay, but he did and I couldn't think straight long enough to realize what that had meant. . . what he had done.

And from the moment my thoughts cleared up I found myself returning to the memory. The memory of him pressed against me as his mouth claimed mine and I was transfixed under a spell only he could give me.

I haven't kissed many people. . .any really so I don't have much to compare it to but I can't imagine that there's something out there that measures up to Harry, let alone surpasses him. He knew what he wanted and at that moment I wanted it just as much. . .and I still do.

I just only wished that the demons of my past could have refrained from turning a sweet memory sour.

After having experienced Harry's lips on my own I can't lie. . . a large part of me hopes to feel it again.

The way his tongue glided against my own.

The way his hand grasped my neck.

The way his nose brushed the sides of my face.

The way his hands hiked up my leg.

The way his hips thrusted-

"Hav are you ok?" I'm startled by Maya's voice.
