Haven's POV:

The sound of a eye piercing scream wakes me from my sleep. Reluctantly I pry my eyes open and shakes Maya who's head lays on my lap as we both attempted to take a nap on the couch.

"I think your baby is defective. I love her but damn does she have a set of lungs, that can't be normal." I groan rubbing my eyes as she groans.

"I hope she gets over this cold soon. I haven't slept this little since she was a newborn and my milk hadn't come in yet." she stands up and stumbles a little as she makes her way to a wailing Harlow in the bassinet a few feet away from us.

With Harlow cradled in her arms, she sits back down on the couch and leans into my outstretched arms. I lean my head against hers as she pulls up her shirt to feed Harlow who immedtaley quotes down.

"How's her temp?" I question Maya as she placed the back of her hand on Harlows forehead, flipping it a few time.

"She still feels warm but not nearly as much as last night." she leans in further attempting to get comfortable.

"Thanks again for staying while Liam was gone. I don't know what I'd have done without you." she smiles up at me and I smile back before pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

"Of course. That's what friends are for." I notice goosebumps arising on her skin and quickly pull the blanket across her lap.

"Correction, that's what sisters are for." she kisses me back and I laugh as my body warms from head to toe with her words.

Sisters. I forgot what it felt like to have one.

"When did the boys say they would be back?" I question noticing the sky growing darker with the passing hours, especially with winter coming.

"They should be here any minute now." she states after checking her phone and I can feel the anticipation building within me. I know its only been a couple days but it has felt like an eternity.

My nightmare seem to lessen when he's there but now that he's not, they've come full force. I didn't know how bad they were until I woke up on the floor the night after they left with Maya crouched down beside me. She didn't say anything to me as she ushered me into her room and held onto me until I fell back asleep.

But even through my nightmares my pain doesn't lessen knowing that he experienced one as well and I wasn't there to stop it. I wrote the book on nightmares and I know first hand just how frightening and paralyzing they can be and I would never wish it on anyone, let alone him.

I can tell somethings wrong but I just don't know what and every fibre of my being is itching to make sure he's okay. I could hear it in his voice, in the words he spoke, in the way he begged me to tell him I love him again and again. I just want to see that he's okay and I have ever since he called me.

"Did I tell you he sent me flowers?" I tell Maya annoyed, internally scoffing at his actions.

"The grocery store guy?" She questions looking at me with raised eyebrows.

"Niall, but yeah. I don't know what he was thinking. I made it clear that I had a boyfriend and he made it clear that he knew." I tell her as she hands a full Harlow.

I smile at the poor sick baby and peck her chubby cheek before I begin burping her. "What did it say." She asks while fixing her shirt.

"I had a great time last night. Let''s do it again." I scoff shaking my head.

"How'd he know where you lived?" she looks a bit concerned.

"I only had coffee with him because he came into the bookstore on accident and offered. Grace gave me a call this morning and told me flowers were delivered for me. So when I went home to get more clothes I stopped at Fleurs before." I explain hearing a small burp from Harlow and we both chuckle at the adorable noise.
