Wanda's POV:
The air conditioner in her room is turned on and yet here I am sweating because of nervousness. She sat on her bed and then signaled to me to sit as well. I obviously obeyed. I sat in front of her and she smiled at me. She's acting as if she was not shot earlier today.
"How are you?" she asked.
Why is she asking me?
"Well, not fully recovered but for the first time in a long time, I am feeling better." I answered.
"That's great. You know, we were really worried about you because you keep locking yourself in your room."
"I guess I needed time."
"I get that. Anyway, I don't want to beat around the bush. So, I'm just gonna say it. I care about you a lot, Wanda." she said.
"I know that." I responded since I know the rest of the avengers show how much they care for me even if I constantly shut them out.
"Not just that, you seem to make me happy. That's very rare for me."
I stared at her beautiful green eyes once again and tried to sink in what she just said.
"Uhm," I blurted, not knowing what else to say.
"It seems like you're taking an awful lot of time to process what I'm saying. So, I just want to let you know that you're gonna be spending a lot of time with me. Let's just see where this will go. I just need you to trust me." she said.
I nodded. Feeling a bit flustered in what she just said. It was giving me butterflies in an exciting way.
"Do you?" she then asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I do." I answered quickly.
"Great. Well, I'll go to the kitchen to make a sandwich." she said and left the room to go to the kitchen.
I stayed in her room. Just thinking. She didn't say that she likes me or anything else that would confirm that she wants to go out with me but she just said that she cares about me a lot and I apparently make her happy for some reason. So maybe I should not be assuming anything else. Although thinking about it, that's what she also makes me feel. I obviously care so much about her and I like being around her. So, maybe she's right. We'll just see where this goes. Although in my head, we're close friends, I guess.
"Huh, you're still here. Interesting." Nat said, leaning on the wall with 2 sandwiches in her hand. That was fast.
"Sorry, I was just gonna leave." I responded.
"Don't." Nat closed the door and handed me the other sandwich she made.
"Thanks." I said and then she nodded at me.
She placed her sandwich on her nightstand and went to her closet and grabbed a hoodie and wore it. She grabbed a sweater and some pajama shorts and tossed them to me.
"There. Change into some comfier clothes. I don't know why you're still in your suit. It's almost 11 in the evening and the mission's over." she said.
I was about to leave to go to the bathroom but she grabbed me by my wrist and made me closer to her.
"Where are you going?" she whispered to my ear.
