Nat's POV:

Ever since Wanda reunited with Pietro from another universe, everything changed between us. I mean, I don't mind them bonding at all because it's great that she's able to finally be with him after mourning her loss but it almost felt like I was set aside. As if she didn't need me anymore. Everyone at the compound, most especially me is having a hard time believing that this is actually happening.

Seriously. How are we supposed to just accept that somehow, Wanda has a father and another sister from a different universe or that her twin just came back from the dead? Obviously, that's not what really happened but still, this is ridiculous.

She has been talking a lot with them for the last week they have been here. I haven't let my guard down ever since because I don't think I could ever trust them, even Pietro. I don't know why they're here and what do they want from Wanda.

Today's the day that the rest of the Avengers at the new Stark Tower will temporarily move back here at the compound. Because after the number of times Tony badgered Ross about letting them join this one specific mission, he finally caved.

"Are you okay?" Maria asked as she sat beside me on the couch.

"No." I responded, almost immediately.

"I figured. I don't trust them either. I mean, a family reunion? Yeah-- no, I don't buy it." she agreed.

"It doesn't make any sense." I blurted.

"Well, their arrival made all of us scratch our heads. Listen, based on all of our experiences, nothing good ever came out of portals. Just saying." Maria shrugged then left.

I was left with more thoughts that crowded my mind which is starting to give me a headache. And the worse part for me is that I haven't gotten the chance to be with Wanda because she's always with them. I only see her at the end of the day in our bedroom when we're about to get ready for sleep.

Jesus, I sound like a jealous bitch.

I was on the way to the kitchen when Wanda hollered at me in the hallway. I immediately holt and she ran towards me, wrapping her hands around my waist before she pulled me in for a kiss.

"Hi." she smiled as she pulled away.

"Uhm, hi." I squeaked.

"I missed you." she said.

"You did?"

"Of course. It may sound insane but even if you were beside me last night, I still missed you so much." she explained.

"It's not insane, Wands. You have no idea but I did miss you so much. I actually thought you wouldn't feel the same way because of Pietro coming back. Well, sort of 'came back'."

"What do you mean?" she probed.

"Ever since your so-called 'family' arrived, I barely see you. And when I do, you're passed out in bed or you're so tired from training with them that you barely spoke to me. It's as if you don't need me anymore. I know I sound like a nagging girlfriend, it's just--, I never had feelings as deep as this with anyone but you. Sometimes, I feel like a ticking time bomb just waiting to explode." I said.

Her emerald green eyes had this soft look in them. Filled with concern and love at the same time. Her hands travelled from my waist to my cheek. Cupping each one of them on her warm palms while her face was just an inch away from mine.

"Natalia Alianovna Romanova..." she started and I just felt shivers travel from my spine up to my neck. "I don't like to speak about the future because we really can't tell what's ahead of us but what I can assure you is that I love you so fucking much, it's unreal. I want you to be in my future, okay? Whatever it may be. Either it's us trying to survive an apocalyptic world or us married in a small cabin by a lake. Whatever it is, I want it with you. Nothing will ever make me not need you because like Vision's mind stone, you're my lifeline, Natasha."
