Wanda's POV:
Nat and I had about 3 hours of sleep but it was worth it. After the conversation I had with her last night, it felt like I was able to connect with her on a much deeper level. It also felt like I was able to breathe better since I had let her in to this personal crisis that I am facing.
I rolled towards Nat who's sleeping on her side while facing the opposite side of me. I wrapped one arm around her waist and she felt it right away as she entwined her fingers to mine and dragged it to her chest. I leaned closer as I buried my face on her neck to kiss her and I felt her sigh in content.
"Who cares if aliens are gonna invade earth and the end of the universe is about to happen? As long as I have you right beside me, I say 'bring it, bitches'." she said, her voice croaked because of sleep.
I smiled right away at the end of her sentence and cupped her chin to make her face me before saying, "You and I against all odds, baby."
She placed her hand at the back of my neck and pulled me in to kiss me on the lips. Then after a few minutes in bed, we finally decided to get ready for the day. The next few days is going to be very busy for the Avengers as we try to do whatever we can to make sure that we are ready if Thanos and his allies will strike earth again.
Tony, Fury and Maria is currently on a meeting with Secretary Ross to try and convince him to agree on bringing the other Avengers in for this mission because we really won't be able to do this on our own. Thanos has an army and we definitely don't.
Since I had the Darkhold, I've been learning more about the use of my powers. The book didn't contain any warnings about the dangers of learning Chaos Magic but Nat and I figured that my powers could turn into dark magic in no time if I won't be careful. I don't want to be consumed by it but I just wanted to learn it just so I can use it against Thanos.
"Wands? Are you ready to train?" Nat asked as she entered the kitchen.
"Yeah, let me just grab a drink." I responded.
We made our way to the Battlegrounds area just to be safe. She prepared a few simulations for me to practice the control of my powers. I was able to enhance my telekinesis and I learned how to teleport from one place to another. It was a bit tricky because I wind up dizzy after successfully popping up on a different location that I wanted.
"Wow. You're really doing well, Wanda." Nat applauded.
"Thanks. Now it's just about learning how to use the spells we've read about." I said.
"Right. I'm not entirely up for this but I guess we have to try." she replied as she handed the book to me.
I started with basic spells like how to manipulate one object and transform it to something else. Then as we go on, the spells I was learning were getting more complicated than the others. I know that Nat must be really worried with the things I have been doing but she's really trying hard to be there as my supporter. She always had my back before and she's continuing to do the same right now.
She really is a fighter. Because even in a place where almost everyone has some sort of special ability, she was able to level herself to us. I could almost say that she's stronger than anyone in this compound. Facing any hurdles and battles head on using nothing but her combat skills and weapons.
So far, everything is going well with my training until I accidentally cast a spell that has something to do with creating a different reality. I was supposed to just open up a portal from a different location but something went wrong. There were flashes of what seems like electric statics in the air and they continue to worsen which made me very worried.
