Nat's POV:
This fight doesn't seem like it's ending to me at all. I'm really exhausted and anytime feels like I am about to past out but that's definitely not an option right now. Besides, doing such thing won't help the team at all. Although, I gotta say, the mutants has made it easier to defeat these aliens and the mad titan, Thanos.
I was focusing in fighting this massive creature but I was struggling, with my wound ripping open again, it's difficult to perform my combat moves and I rely so much on my weapons because of this. I then realized that I just ran out of bullets and the alien was about to shoot me with its weapon but one of the mutants came in and carried the alien then detached its head from its body.
"Jesus christ, that's--, that's disgusting." I gagged.
"Sorry. Are you okay? You don't seem well." he asked.
"No, not really. But I have no choice. I need to do everything I can to help out." I replied, grabbing a loaded gun I found close to us.
"Polaris requested me to stay close to you. So, I got your back, okay? My name is John but you can also call me Thunderbird." he implied as he punched an alien out of consciousness.
"Uhm, why?" I probed.
"She said that her sister ordered her to do so." he clarified.
"Wait, Wanda? Why can't she just fight beside me?" I asked.
Suddenly, a larger creature sprinted towards me and I immediately rained it with bullets but whatever skin it has was too thick for bullets to pierce through it. John then stepped in front of me and punched the creature, making it lose its balance. I jumped and wrapped my legs in between its neck then used my gauntlets to electrocute it which made the creature weaker. John grabbed the alien's weapon and jabbed it in the middle, killing it instantly.
"Thanks." I said while feeling so out of breath.
"No problem. Anyway, Polaris said that Wanda doesn't want you near her while she's out fighting the mad titan. You know, so you won't get hurt, I guess." he explained.
Even in the middle of a massive war, Wanda is still thinking about my safety. She has been protecting me since she saw the large wound on the side of my body. One of the reasons why I am doing my best to stay strong, just so she won't get too worried for me.
I looked around and I do feel a sense of comfort seeing how well we all are doing. Although, I am not able to sink in the fact that there are people with different abilities fighting with us. But I guess, with everything that has been going on, it's easy to believe that anything is possible.
I glanced around and saw Wanda from afar with Pietro and Strange. Seeing her with so much rage is providing me more strength and confidence for this war. I can feel she's giving out everything she can just so she won't have to lose Pietro and me. Which is the same motivation I am working on to keep my focus for this mission.
3rd Person POV:
The confidence of the Avengers has been boosted thanks to the mutants who were helping out in the war. Having an army of humans with strong and special abilities are really doing the trick in getting them closer to victory.
"It's nice to know that we have a shot in defeating these awful creatures but the question is how can we stop all of these chaos once and for all?" Steve asked through his earpiece.
"Maybe find a way to kill the leader? So, kill Thanos." Yelena suggested.
"Yeah but that's not gonna assure us that the army would stop. We need all of these to stop and go away before they reach the city." Steve replied.
