Yelena's POV:
I heard that Nat and the rest will be visiting us today here at the Stark Tower. I'm guessing that Maria will be joining them as well. Part of me doesn't want to see her because I won't know what to say and I really want to spare myself so many awkward situations with her but there's also this part of me that's feeling ecstatic to see her because I miss her.
It's all so confusing.
I'm currently lounging at the living room with a book but I have been stuck on the same page for about ten minutes because my mind keeps going off to some other places instead of focusing on reading.
"Forgot how to read, Belova?" Steve teased, he was leaning on a wall close to the couch I was sitting on.
"The fuck? How long have you been there?" I questioned.
"Long enough to notice that you're stuck on that page of the book." he chuckled.
"It's just-- Well, I'm feeling a little anxious." I defended.
"I can see that. What's making you anxious? Maybe, there's something I can help with. Remember, we're a family here." Steve said.
"I know and I am very thankful for that." I responded. I then let out a sigh then continued with my thoughts, "I just don't know what to do with my feelings. They're very confusing and overwhelming." I added.
"Is it because you were controlled before?" he asked and I just nodded.
"Listen. I have no idea on how you felt during that time, I can only imagine how hard it was for you. But you have to remember that everything is under your control moving forward. If you're sure that that's what you wanted, then go for it. You might have to take it slow but in the end, it's what's gonna give you peace of mind." he explained.
Everything went into place as he muttered those words. It was like, all of my confusion with my feelings became clear as day and I now know what I want.
"Thanks, Rogers. I needed that." I said.
"No problem." he responded as he smiled.
"Guys, they're here." Barnes informed us. Letting us know that Stark and the others has arrived.
Nat's POV:
We arrived at the new Stark Tower and immediately made our way to the others so we can finally see them. Tony lead us to an elevator and we went down four floors from the rooftop. The elevator doors opened and revealed a huge loft looking area. It almost looked like the old Stark Tower we used to stay in.
"Welcome to our new humble abode." Steve greeted.
"Looks great. Looks too familiar actually." I replied.
"It does, doesn't it?" he added as he reached out for a hug.
"Hey, Yelena." I greeted as I pulled away from Steve's hug.
"Hey," she responded with a nod. "What brings you all here?" she then asked.
"Well, the signing of accords were pretty boring without you guys. It's hard to admit but we missed you all." I responded.
"That's not going to help us change our minds, Nat." she implied.
"Who says we're here to force you to change your minds? No. We're here to hang out." Wanda said, as she stepped and stood beside me.
"Seriously? We do those things?" Yelena asked with a confused look on her face.
"Yels, our job is to definitely save the world but we still need to relax from time to time. Of course, we do these type of things. It's what families like us, do." I laughed.
