-- 2 days before the meeting @ Washington --

3rd Person POV:

The Avengers has been feeling tense lately since last week's announcement of the Sokovia Accords. Over the past few days, apart from dealing with the fact that everyone is not on the same side, the Sokovia Accords has also been introduced to the world. Showing it on every news station in every country who participated.

"I hate this." Yelena blurted while the three of them ate their breakfast.

"What do you hate? The accords or the fact that you look like a mess again because you might have a drinking problem?" Nat asked sarcastically, forming a smirk in the corner of her lips.

"I hate you for bringing it up. But, no. Not the drinking. I hate the accords." she replied.

"What's your decision?" Wanda asked.

"To not sign it." Yelena responded.

"For real? You just joined, Yelena. Now, you're about to retire?" Nat implied.

"I refuse to have someone make my own decisions again, Nat. I'm done." Yelena said. "I'm actually surprised that you have decided to sign it. I thought you like saving the lives of people." she added

"I do. That's why I'm signing it."

"Once you sign this and have the government decide what to do moving forward, you're basically losing your free will. And there will come a time that the U.N. won't let you do anything about a certain situation that you wish to be involved. Then you're just there, itching to save lives but you can't because you let them take your free will. Think about that. Plant it in your brain and go back to your decision then let me know if it's really the right one for you." she explained. "Oh, and for Wanda too. 'Cause she trusts you enough to decide for her. L-O-L." she added.

"Heyyy." Wanda whined.

"What? I'm right and you know it." Yelena said.

"Alright. Maybe you do have a point. But if you don't sign it and push yourself to be involved in something that you shouldn't be a part of, then you're basically a criminal because you're already considered as retired. You couldn't save anyone even if you wanted to. Stated in Section C of the Sokovia accords." Nat debated.

"Yeah and under Section C, sub section 4, for the Avengers who has signed the accords, if you also forced your way into a mission you're not assigned to, then you also become a criminal. Ipso facto, you won't be able to save everyone even if you want to. At least if ever I want to take action on a situation, I don't have to wait for some guy with a suit to give me permission if I could take care of it or not. I will always have a choice and if I become a criminal, so be it. I have a hundred identities to use anyway." Yelena rebutted. "You're not the only one who read the accords, Romanova." she added, then got up to place her plate on the sink then left.

Natasha immediately lost her appetite because in the back of her mind, she knew that Yelena was right. She thought that she's making the right decision but now she was unsure. She pushed her plate away and sighed heavily, making sure that she avoided eye contact with Wanda.

"Nat." Wanda started.

"Wanda, I love you but, can we drop it for now?" Nat requested.

"I know that you're upset but the meeting is in two da--"

"Just drop it, Wanda!" Nat snapped as she stood up.

Wanda looked at her with so much concern in her eyes and tears started to form. Nat just glared at her before her face softened, immediately projecting regret.
