Nat's POV:

I woke up to the sound of a loud banging coming from our door. My eyes flew open and noticed that it was still dark out. I felt the veins in my head throbbing so hard already because of the person waking me up in this ungodly hour. I stood up from the bed, marched towards the door and flew it open.

"What on earth is going on??" I asked angrily.

"Sorry. I've been knocking for like two minutes and it seems like you both won't take a hint. Anyway, Fury is calling all of us for an emergency meeting in the headquarters." Steve informed.

I nodded at him and slammed the door shut. I let out a growl and made my way back to the bed to wake Wanda up. I rubbed my palm on her arm and I heard her groan then after a few unsuccessful attempts to wake her up, her eyes finally opened.

"Sorry, Wands. But Fury needs all of us in the headquarters for a meeting." I told her softly.

She whined and turned to bury her face on the pillow before saying, "But why?" making sure she prolonged the last syllable of her question.

"I don't know but we need to go." I replied, standing up from the bed and making my way to the closet to grab us both a sweater.

She finally dragged herself out of bed and approached me. I handed her one of my sweaters and she just yanked it out of my arm. I just smirked at the thought of how grumpy she is when being woken up at this hour.

"Fury has officially ruined sleep for me." she protested as she slipped into the clothing.

"Same." I responded before letting out a chuckle.

We made it to the headquarters along with Yelena who looks like a mess caused by what seems like a hangover. I gave her a look and she shot one back at me.

"Keep your thoughts to yourself, Romanoff." she warned.

Everyone gathered around the table, even the ones who were on break like Stark, Clint and a few more. The monitor finally showed Fury's face.

"Fury," Tony started as he pulled the chair away from the table then sat before continuing, "This better be good."

"I can't promise you that, Stark. But I can tell you that this is important so everyone better make sure that you're awake enough to listen up." he said.

I saw Barnes elbowed Sam on his side because he was fast asleep on the table. Sam jerked and shook his head, desperately trying to keep himself awake.

"Alright. The secretary of the state has contacted us about what went down in Budapest and I know all of you knows what happened. He, and among the other higher ups from the United Nations talked about how the Avengers freely goes to other places to inflict their will and they have decided that it should no longer be that way." he announced.

All of us exchanged looks because we know how much of a shit decision that is. Steve sighed heavily and sat up right.

"Are you saying, that if and when something happens, and there will.. We have to go through them first to ask permission before we can do something about it?" Steve probed.

"Looks like you got the gist of it, Rogers." Fury sarcastically clarified as he smirked.

"And you agreed?" Tony asked.

"I told them that it is not my decision to make. You may work for SHIELD but you also operate without our supervision. So, the secretary will be arriving later in the morning to discuss this further with all of you. I called all of you here so you guys would know what's coming and so you can come up with a decision." Fury said. "You guys make the call." he added and dropped from the video call.
