Chapter 61

No One's POV

Nayeon cried and demanded for answers. She really can't stand it anymore. Why would something like that happened and she never knew about it. Why would her sister hide it from her. She doesn't understand, none of it.

"Talk". She demanded and started hitting Jeongyeon's shoulder. "Talk!" She started hitting both of Jeongyeon's shoulders.

But she stopped and lean onto Jeongyeon's chest instead and cried harder.

"T-tell me..." Jeongyeon sighed out loud and lift her hand up to Nayeon's head and started caressing the girl's hair gently.

"We did have a past... a past I have no recollection of until a few days ago". She said. "What you heard was true. We dated back then. I got captured along with Nayoung and the warehouse that I was found at was the same warehouse they killed her".

"So y-you remembered everything?..."

"Yes".

"W-why didn't you tell me? You said a few days ago so you weren't even planning to tell me unless I caught you red handed like this?..."

"Yeah". Nayeon looked up.

"Why??!"

"....." Jeongyeon didn't responded but only to wipe Nayeon's tears away.

"What did you talk about with my mum?" She asked and step back as she wipe her tears away herself.

"My relationship with Nayoung".

"Tell me all about it". Jeongyeon sighed and put her hands in her pocket before starting to explain.

"She have been searching for me ever since Nayoung passed away. She wanted to give me what Nayoung left behind. It was something she planned to do when she was still alive. She planned to propose to me after we graduated and Mrs.Im wanted to give it to me because that was the least she could do for her late daughter". Nayeon look down and bite her lower lip. "That's all we talked about. She only called me to ask and confirm that it's really me".

"So if you remember everything now ... that means you didn't really l-like me after all... Maybe you're nice to me because I reminded you of my sister...." She scoff and smiled painfully. "I'm the only one who likes you isn't it?..." She wipe her tears without even sparing a glance at Jeongyeon. She didn't want to see Jeongyeon looking at her with pitiful eyes. "I'm sorry for assuming things on my own..."

Then she turned around and started to walk away. She doesn't know what's gonna happen to them at this rate but all that she wanted to do was quickly get out of there.

But she was pulled back and the next thing that happened made her push Jeongyeon back in shock. She covered her lips and look at Jeongyeon with wide eyes.

Jeongyeon kissed her when she pulled her back. Those eyes, they were nowhere near pity. Jeongyeon was looking at her with those kind of eyes where only people who are deeply in love look at their s/o.

Jeongyeon pulled Nayeon by the wrist gently and placed her left hand on Nayeon's cheek.

"Listen carefully because I don't like repeating myself". Nayeon nodded slowly. "I might have a past with Nayoung. I loved her and I still do now but I'm not in love with her anymore ... call me selfish but I'm in love with you". Nayeon shook her head and held Jeongyeon's collar while looking down, still in denial.

"You're not.... If you think lying to me this way will make me feel better then you're wrong..." She look up and Jeongyeon who just lets go of her.
