Chapter 12

No One's POV

"Chaeyoung-ah..." Yoongi tap Chaeyoung's shoulder as he whispered something into her ear. "Bambam is gonna be here as well so please try to keep him away from Mina as far as possible". Chaeyoung nodded as he moved back and smiled softly. "Thank you".

"It's my duty Suga...". He tapped her shoulder twice and the two made way inside.

Yoongi held Mina's hand and kept her close to him while Chaeyoung was scanning around the event and it didn't take long as she already spotted her target.

Sana, Nayeon, Momo, Jimin, Jackson and Mark did attend as well. They sat at two tables next to each other after exchanging talks with some of the guests.

Chaeyoung was sitting down in between Mina and Mark as their friends were next to them.

Chaeyoung was looking around and saw Bambam kept glaring in their direction.

When he turned away, she put her hand down and made signs with it before she put an earpiece on, secretly.

Chaeyoung tap Yoongi's shoulder and whispered.

"I'm going to go roam around". Yoongi nodded as Chaeyoung slowly stood up but Mina was quick to grab her arm.

"Where are you going??" That wasn't Mina's voice. It was Nayeon's because Chaeyoung and Nayeon's bodyguard stood up at the same time. Same with Dahyun and Tzuyu.

Mina was looking at Chaeyoung as if asking the same question.

"I'll be back". Chaeyoung said and pulled Mina's hand off her sleeve gently.

The four made their way out as they roam around the place, checking if there were anything suspicious.

'A guy in black suit, 12 o'clock'. A voice came through their earpiece as they turned towards the stage in unison.

Chaeyoung found the one whom Jeongyeon just mentioned was moving closer to where their bosses were and the way he glance in their way multiple times confirmed their suspicions.

'9 o'clock in black blazer and another in red'. Tzuyu spoke through the earpiece. 'The one in white is approaching them'.

'The speech is ending. Look out for them'. Chaeyoung said and just in time the speech ended.

Everyone stood up and clap their hands for the wonderful speech of the Choi's group.

Chaeyoung immediately approached her boss and at the corner of her eyes she saw the one who was mentioned earlier that was in a red suit also approaching her boss.

He was holding a gun and and it didn't go unnoticed by Chaeyoung whom immediately went and pulled Mina just when the lights went out.

*BANG!*

When a gunshot was heard, everyone at the event started going crazy as they ran trying to find an exit. Bumping into each other and some even fell.

"Who are you??!" Mina shouted as she was being dragged by someone she couldn't see.

"Son Chaeyoung so please be quiet and follow me". When Mina knew it was her bodyguard she followed the latter willingly.

"Chaeyoung-ah w-what is happening??" Yoongi asked in fear as they bump into people since the place was dark.

Chaeyoung didn't answer as she pulled the two towards the back exit as there were a few more gunshots fired inside the place.

"The police will be here soon. We should get going". Chaeyoung said when she heard the sirens getting closer and closer.
